Lord, I know your plans are good and that you work for the good for those who love you. Father God, while this isn’t what I planned for, I will trust in you alone. Help me to find peace and rest in your truths. Help me to see the good. Give me a glimpse, if you will Lord, on how this brings glory to your name because sometimes it is hard to see. Thank you for this child that you hand-picked especially for me. Thank you for the triumphs my child and I will experience together, for it is only by you God that these are even possible. Lord, the days are long and sometimes I feel I do not have the strength to handle what lies ahead. Give me your strength Lord. Fill me with your spirit. I cannot do this alone. Pluck from my heart the pride and fear that says I have to try to. Lord, help me when I cry because these days are frequent. Remind me Lord that autism cannot win against you. Yours is the only opinion that matters, God, remind me of that when others stare or judge. Build up my character to be more like Christ, for I know that is your ultimate goal for us. Help me to be patient, forgiving, understanding, loving, and slow-to-anger. May you be who my eyes and heart are fixed on. Use this Lord to draw me closer to you and bring glory to your sweet name.

One of the most endearing qualities I love about my beautiful children is the amount of love they hold in their hearts for Adam & I. It’s a gift only God could have given them.

On a daily basis, we often receive very many “I love yous” throughout the day, commonly at the most bizarre times. Going potty, “MOMMY I LOVE YOUUU!” Playing video games, “DADDY I LOVE YOU!” Wrestling each other in the living room, “I LOVE YOU!” These random confirmations most commonly coming from the boys, believe it or not. The spontaneous sweetness is truly the most amazing affirmation. It seriously fills my heart, every time.

And just now, during some of my alone abiding time, I thought to about my relationship with the Father. I thought about how much he loves little ol’ me to have gifted me with all that he has and how I would love to be the kind of daughter who can randomly and so frequently throughout the day shout, “I love you!” just when I’m thinking of Him, when I see his face, or when I hear his voice?

As a mommy, I sometimes find myself getting so wrapped up in life that I slip on reminding God that I love being his daughter and that I appreciate my relationship with him! I use this excuse, almost to a fault. However, Mason, Kennedy, Peyton, and Easton never fail on reminding us multiple times throughout each day that they love us. (Even at the strangest times lol) What if I could learn a little something from my little kiddos? Doesn’t the Lord who blessed me with these little minions (and more) deserve all the love I have poured out to Him?

Today I want you to think about what you’re excuses you are giving to not spend time in intimate relationship with the Father? & What characteristics do you see in your sweet babies that remind you of our Great God?

Hey guys!
I have been absent for a little bit from this account. Reason being: I’ve been feeling super discouraged and worrisome on where I was supposed to be spiritually. However, while I was gone, God was working on my heart in BIG ways. I began to have an understanding like I’ve ever had on my purpose as a disciple, a wife, as a mother, as a friend, as an employee, as a parent of someone with pretty severe special needs. I am starting to see now how God was purposely interrupting my routine to bring me to a deeper level of relationship with Him. I am thankful. I am refreshed. I am excited to continue my journey as an evangelist and a disciple, who has been called to raise up other disciples. (Those disciples include my own children.) Looking forward to where God takes me next!

On July 7th 2016, my heart broke in a million pieces.
After that day, I begun to search for fulfillment in whatever ways possible. I turned to alcohol, s*x, and money to fill me with what I felt I needed - what I thought my kids needed. Every day thinking “this time I’ll feel better”, yet every time only feeling worse. I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror, knowing I was making decisions that sinned against God and sinned against my own flesh.
On June 23rd 2018, I grew so tired of the rock bottom feelings. And out of the blue, I surrendered it ALL over to the Father. I had no idea what I was doing at that moment in time. I had no idea that in that moment my life would change forever. I had no idea that would be the beginning of the rest of my life.
Now, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t still make mistakes. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t still fall short of the mark at times. BUT I can honestly say that because of that constant surrender from that day on, God has changed my heart. God has changed my soul. God has changed my ability to love my children, my ability to love romantically, my ability to love myself, and most importantly, my ability to love God first, ALWAYS!
Today, because of my obedience, God has not only rescued me from my old self, but He has blessed me with WAY more than I would have settled for. I am able to be a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a teacher of God’s word, and a leader. All because I stopped walking in MY will, and started walking in God’s.
In Ezekiel 34:26 God says, “I will bless my people and their homes around my holy hill. And in the proper season I will send the showers they need. There will be showers of blessing.”
‭‭.
Wow, did you catch that? Showers of blessings, in the PROPER SEASON! Hmmm... what does that mean? Well, it’s a good day to surrender it over to the Father and find out for yourself!!! ❤️🙏🏼

You know what’s cool about our loving savior? He doesn’t scold us for being unable to handle the pressures of life by ourselves. Instead, He wants us to give our burdens to Him.

Surrender your heavy heart to Him tonight, and He will give you rest.

Rough morning for this mama of a daughter with Autism. I’ve spent all morning wondering how we are going to get through this life with this diagnosis.

Will things ever be okay? Will she ever feel “normal”? Will she ever live on her own? Will she ever be a wife and a mommy? Will I ever be able to have a real conversation with my daughter?

This morning I’ve felt so lost as tears fall from my eyes.

But as I sit at my work desk listening to worship music, I hear these lyrics (lyrics below) and it’s almost like I can feel the arms of the Father surround me. I suddenly feel the strength to dry eyes and push just a little harder and fight a little more.

Thankful to be in this relationship with Christ, especially when I am feeling like the 1 lost sheep. He really does leave the 99, chase us down until we are back in his presence.

Wow, Thank you God 🙏🏼❤️ Thank you!!!!

Are you hurting today? Feeling lost? Feeling alone?

Remember that we serve a sovereign God. Which means we serve a God that rules about all else & causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. (Romans‬ ‭8:28‬)

If we are following Him and walking in His will & not our own, He will without a doubt bless that obedience.

I know it’s hard to see now, but you will get through this. Continue to lean into the Father for guidance and comfort, today. This challenge might be too big for you alone, but these struggles with NEVER be too big for our God. 🙏🏼❤️💯
