So honored to have yet another new guest on this week. Moleculartrout makes his debut with a live set recorded at Soniq Oasis! As some of you know, Soniq Oasis was first ever festival collaboration from us here at Synth Etiquette Radio and Greenville's Frequency Underground. Moleculartrout played Saturday night at sunset with an absolutely perfect set for the time. It's a beautiful journey that helped cap off the day and encapsulate the energy moving into the evening. I can't wait for you all to hear it.

It's always an honor to be able to host such wonderful talent on this show. But, there's always something particularly special when that someone is one of the areas legends who has been an integral part of the scene so many of us love and cherish for decades. This week, it's my pleasure to welcome Order of Elim back to the show with a special 2 hour set of progressive mastery that does his DJing reputation justice. Give him a warm welcome back, and enjoy!

Back in April of this year, Synthetiq Frequencies got together and kicked off an incredible partnership at one of our favorite venues, Rusty Lotus. Double Helix played a hybrid live set that, to this date, they believe to be their best work yet. While every live set has improved on the last, and they've been proud of their new direction and innovations, this set was surrounded by an electric dance floor who were beyond receptive of what they brought to the table. We've waited long enough to bring you this set, and if you're on the fence about coming to check out this live act, we hope this steers you in the right direction. Listen as Peri Meters effortlessly mixes the perfect foundation for Aidan's improvisations below. We hope you enjoy!!

This week, we welcome Sketchy Decks back to the show with an hour of some of the groove-packed house music they're known for. These two have been making a splash since they joined forces, so don't miss it. You'll get the chance to see them crush it at Soniq Oasis July 22nd-24th at Kuykendall Campground!

Whooaaa boy, do we have something different for you today. To date, there has only been one drum and bass mix. Being a house and techno podcast, this isn't much of a surprise, but every now and then you have to throw a curveball and keep things interesting, and unpredictable, and that's exactly what our guest does this week. Dark Adaptation makes his SER debut with a DnB powerhouse to break the mold and rock your world this week. Don't miss it, because who knows when we'll get another DnB mix on the show!

A brand new guest on the show is always a treat. Please welcome Travis Christian for his debut!! He brings 2 hours of house and techno full of grooves and moves that we just love to hear.

Some words from the man himself:

"Lately I've been giving a good deal of thought to the concept of resonance. In the natural world we observe objects that resonate with particular frequencies. A certain length sound wave can cause the right crystal to vibrate, even sing. Tuning forks resonate our ear drums, or not, confirming that we can or cannot hear a particular frequency. The eqs and filters producer use on our tracks allow us to increase the resonance of particular frequencies within a synth note or sample. So when we say something resonates with us, what we really mean is that it connects to our frequency. It's on our wavelength. It matches our vibration. While no single track, song or sound could ever express who we are in total, an aesthetic, a "whole vibe" can.

Having just launched and started the process of building my own label Shadow Mined Recordings, I am very thankful to Aidan and Synthetiquette Radio for the opportunity to share the sound that represents my resonant frequency. For this mix, I wanted to put together a set of tracks, some older, some new, at least one that may never see the light of day, that reflect as closely as possible the aesthetic, the frequency that SMR is built on and continually aims for. It's a sound that resonates and reflects back to me parts of myself I perhaps would not have discovered in its absence. It describes who I am in a meaningful way where words fail. In a sense, I consider this vibe, this feeling, an introduction to who I am and what I'm about, not only musically, but at a deeper, unspoken level I am still, and always will be, in the process of discovering."

Well, well, well... What do we have here? Just Double Helix coming at you with a set showcasing our new Hybrid Live project! This iteration of our dynamic duo includes some smooth as silk selections and mixing from the one and only Peri Meters and live guitar by myself, Aidan Rolfe. These sets, notably my playing, are entirely improvised, so while it is a little rough around the edges, we decided it was a great way to give you a taste of what you'll see in our upcoming gigs... of which there are plenty, thankfully. We hope you enjoy, and we'd love your feedback!

Welcome back, everyone! This week we have someone who, in the past couple years, has quickly become not only one of my favorite DJs in the region, but one of my favorite people. Bassarid, aka Greg Cordo, bring his smooth as silk taste and mixing back to the show for the first time with his new and improved moniker. His last mix, under the name G-Cord, was universally loved, and I believe this is going to receive the same critical acclaim. Enjoy!

Collaborations are what keep the music scene interesting, and music fans guessing. While not technically a collab, Raskal and I are trading mixes today for your listening. This mix is a lovely hour of fast, driving techno, just like we've come to love about Raskal's talents. Don't miss this, and make sure to check out my mix on his show, Melodics, afterwards!!

Well, happy freakin' New Year to each and every one of you! As is tradition, I've put together my favorite tunes of 2021 to help break in the brand spankin' new 2022. These songs are a mix of my most listened to and most played. This is probably my most ambitious year end mix to date, as it is a melting pot of genres and styles, from neo-soul to techno and back.

While most tracks were released in 2021, some certainly are not, with one track released as far back in 2009. But, these were some of the songs that shaped my year, defined my sound, and inspired me to do what I love most. It was quite difficult to narrow it down to just an hour, but it was an absolute joy to find the right flow for your listening pleasure. I truly hope you enjoy!
