A closer look at some important items from ep. 59 🔎👇🏼
1. The Lawsen loafer I never want to take off. These are the ONLY loafers I’ve ever worn sans socks that don’t give me blisters (although they look cool with socks too). Also, they help me pull off the black/brown color combo flawlessly. 🤌🏼 Shop here: https://liketk.it/53jgi
2. A scrapbook by all about the start of my career, some of which you’ll hear snippets from during the episode.
3. Winning writing contests in elementary school about my fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Yasner — who helped me identify my love for telling stories and wore the coolest effin bell bottom pants in all sorts of prints and patterns — and not doing drugs, respectively.
4. Winning poetry contests and getting into the Liberal Studies Program after apply early decision and reminding the board of admissions that even though I only had a 3.68 GPA, it was weighted (what did that REALLY even mean?) and my grandpa also went to NYU, supposedly. 🙏🏼
5. My first foray into runway reporting for my professor’s fashion blog brought me straight to graduation day, which I rang in by proudly accepting a role at .feelgood hours before I threw my cap in the air. (I actually don’t even really remember doing that.)
6. Clips from my internships at and where I learned that there’s nothing better than admiring and writing about other people’s style.
7. My mom did a great job with the internship page, making sure to include the paperwork I had to submit to ensure school credits. Phew! 😅
8. I spy: me sitting next to at one of my first-ever runway shows. Just look at the way I’m admiring FASHION. 🤩 Man, I must really love it. IDK how Trish made it onto this page, but I’m not surprised and I’m not complaining.
