Live on Lorain County Community College's Duck Radio and Simulcast on Raidchan.org Allynd Dudnikov was born in Wadsworth, Ohio and spent much of his childhood and adolescence living in different parts of North East Ohio, Michigan, and Canada. As he moved he acquired knowledge of the history and legends of his towns. He is passionate about music, radio, technology, and oddities. He is equipped with

a keen eye for detail and criticism. Anything and everything about metal and its many sub-genres you want to know about, he is the man to go to with extensive knowledge about the personal histories of the bands and their members from details regarding cover art to the popularity and reception of the album and songs. He knows it all and is always up for a debate. Allynd currently hosts ' Into the Void' a heavy metal radio show on WLCC The Duck, every Monday night from 8-10 which focuses mainly on Black, Death, Thrash, and Speed metal. His show has gone global with listeners from Southeast Asia, Scandinavia, and Eastern Europe tuning in.

In 1989 the political landscape of Eastern Europe was changing, Glasnost and Perestroika had peeled back some of the more draconian aspects of soviet censorship, and had allowed greater access to more "Western" popular culture, however heavy metal was still seen as a mostly subversive genre by the Soviets. There were at the time only a handful of Rock bands that the soviet government actually liked, one of them being Aria. The members of Aria decided to switch from a mostly power metal sound to a thrash sound, and released an album under the name Master. However, this was mostly cleaned up thrash, approved by authorities. The sound however, was out and in 1989 3 guys who didn't care about glam or the soviet authorities approval decided to make an album anyways, and in the process became one of my favourite Russian bands.. Today's song of the day is.. WIN THE BATTLE by Hellraiser!
