On Wednesday, July 24, The Charles County Board of Commissioners was joined by the Charles County Department of Recreation, Parks and Tourism and the Charles County Economic Development Department to celebrate the county’s purchase of the former Sears Building at the St. Charles Towne Center. The building will be converted into a sports and wellness complex serving the entire community.

❗️Attention – Spring Fling Car Show in Leonardtown❗️
On Sunday, April 28th from 8:00 a.m. – 4 p.m., St. Mary's Rod and Classic will host the 37th Annual Spring Fling Classic Car Show for Hospice
Some roads in Downtown Leonardtown/The Square will be closed from 6 a.m. – 5 p.m. (approx.)

⚠️Road Closures:
• If you are traveling on Washington Street from Route 5 or Route 245 into Leonardtown (Birdies), Washington Street will close at Shadrick Street (Olde Town Pub). The Washington Street closure extends until Court House Drive (Courthouse Bldg).
• Fenwick Street will be closed from Pope Street to Court House Drive.
• A portion of Park Ave (next to Sweet Bay) will be closed

✔️Alternative Routes:
Lawrence Avenue will remain open for traffic.
Court House Drive will remain open for traffic.
