NO FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES IN TACLOBAN YET. Superintendent of DepEd Tacloban Dr. Mariza S. Magan clarified that no Tacloban public school is included in the 120 schools slotted for the pilot implementation of face to face classes.

Dr. Magan cited the cases of COVID-19 variants as a factor in the City DepEd's hesitancy to initiate F2F classes. Nonetheless, she stated that District Supervisors are thoroughly evaluating the option.

Even so, the City DepEd continues to assure the Taclobanon young learners of its untiring support in their modular/blended learning journey.

Mayor Alfred Romualdez attended the graduation ceremony of the eighty (80) completers of the Agriculture Production NCII offered by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

The Mayor also gave the program beneficiaries financial assistance amounting to P2,000 to help them start their livelihood in Tacloban North.

More lives protected at the Port of Tacloban City

The Tacloban Mobile Vaccination Team returns to the Port Of Tacloban City to inoculate the 2nd batch of their workforce. More or less 200 workers from office staff members, dispatchers, and dock workers will receive their 1st dose of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine today, September 14, 2021.

Workers not only get to protect themselves from the deadly virus, they also get to have their rest day and still get paid following their jab.

The Tacloban City Mobile Vaccination Team is set to inoculate pedicab drivers, market vendors, and other essential workers this week.

Mayor Alfred Romualdez visited Brgy. 3, Nula-Tula earlier this morning to act on the issues and concerns of the barangay.

One of these is the flooding in the Barangay Hall and the Mayor assured them that in the next few days, personnel from the City Engineer's Office will work on it.

Moreover, the Mayor also acted on the request of the vendors in the bypass road that a special permit be given to them. Aside from granting this, he also gave the vendors monetary assistance to help them in their business this pandemic.

Lastly, to maintain orderliness in the bypass road, the Mayor is also identifying a temporary parking space for customers in the area to help avoid accidents and prevent traffic.

NEW ALERT LEVEL SYSTEM

Here's a guide for the new alert level system which will determine which types of establishments can open and how much of their venue capacity will be allowed.

The Alert Level scheme is designed to replace the current system of quarantine classification comprised of ECQ, MECQ, GCQ, and MGCQ. The new system is more relaxed with age mobility restrictions and provides some perks to fully-vaccinated people.

Mayor Alfred Romualdez graced the inauguration of the Mini Library and Community Center at the Habitat Village last September 3, 2021.

The establishment is aimed to assist the remote learning scheme of children living in relocation centers at Tacloban North.
