Open call for artists in Ukraine for this online residency and mentoring!

I K L E C T I K (UK) and Institute of Sound (Інститут Звуку) (UA) are happy to announce the relaunching of the open call for KYUB online residency! Our previous attempt to launch this project was interrupted by russian invasion of Ukraine and we were forced to change our plans and priorities. However, we remained determined in our decision to carry out KYUB despite the hardships of war as we feel the need to support Ukrainian artists now more than ever.

We have re-established the project format to adapt to the new reality and now invite 15 artists who currently reside in Ukraine and work in the field of experimental and contemporary music to participate in a 1-month online residency where they will be mentored by industry professionals from the UK and provided with the opportunity to learn new skills and discuss the topics relevant to their everyday living during the war.

Our goal is to support the UA artists both financially and psychologically and to raise awareness about the challenges they face continuing to work as musicians in the country under martial law, constant shelling and blackouts.

You can read more info about the open call and apply here: http://kyub.digital/residency/
