It’s officially 68 Ventures Bowl Week! The barricades are up with no parking 2 hours before and after parade this Friday at 6:30pm. The Jags will be throwing swag from the balcony before parade and Catiwompus take the stage as soon as the last float goes by!
REMINDER: this is the most floats in one parade AND it runs backwards! Can’t wait to see everyone at the Boom! Boom in front of Veet’s!

CELEBRATE THE NEW YEAR DOWNTOWN!
– Ring in 2024 by celebrating in Downtown Mobile. Following is a list of events planned for New Year's Eve, Sunday, Dec. 31. The list will be updated next Sunday (Dec. 24).

• MoonPie Over Mobile New Year Celebration in Downtown Mobile, 11 a.m. Ring in the new year with a giant electronic MoonPie drop AND not one, but FIVE hip-hop legends! Slick Rick, Rob Base, Big Daddy Kane, Dana Dane and Yo-Yo (Yolanda Whitaker) will be serving up the beats on New Year’s Eve in Downtown Mobile! This free event, in its 16th year, has grown to more than 50,000 revelers filling the streets with the festive vibe Mobile is known for. This year’s celebration will have locals and visitors dancing in the streets to hip-hop classic hits that shaped the genre. Each legend will perform their own set leading up to one epic countdown at midnight!

• New Year's Eve Brunch at Dauphin's, 11 a.m. Celebrate the last day of the year with a mouthwatering brunch, good vibes, and endless mimosas at our New Year's Eve Brunch bash! Join us for a delightful New Year's Eve Brunch at Dauphin's! Start your last day of the year on a delicious note with a scrumptious spread of delectable dishes. Indulge in a variety of mouthwatering options, from savory breakfast classics to irresistible sweet treats. Brunch specials range from $15 - $25.

• New Year's Eve at Bistro Saint Emanuel w/ Stormfolk, 5 p.m. Come ring in New Year's Eve with us! We'll be serving a special NYE menu from 5-9 p.m. and tapas & live music by Stormfolk from 9-Midnight! We're right downtown but away from all of the crowds and craziness - join us for a fun & safe New Year's!

• New Year's Eve with The Bruce Smelley Band LIVE at The Stables Bar, 8 p.m. Come ring in the New Year with us! Bruce will be coming to you live from the deck 9pm-1am. Come dance and sing your way into 2024, watch the Fireworks from the deck and enjoy a sparkling toast! There will be a cover for the evening, wrist bands will be available for purchase starting on Friday the 29th.

• Order of Pan New Year's Eve Ball at Mobile Civic Center, 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Honoring Queen Champagne XI and Pan Christopher XI. Tickets are available for $75 a piece. Must be 21 to enter with valid ID. Costume de Rigueur and floor length gowns required. Doors close at 9:15pm for our tableau at 9:30.

• The Velcro Pygmies LIVE on New Year's Eve at Soul Kitchen Music Hall, 8:30 p.m.

• Chris Spies / Shelby Kemp & Friends LIVE at The Brickyard on Dauphin Street, 9 p.m.

• Fat Lincoln LIVE at Veet's Bar, 9 p.m. Come Ring in the New Year at Veet’s with Fat Lincoln! Doors open at 4pm! Fat Lincoln take the stage 9-1! $10 gets you in the door with Champagne and Party Favors at Midnight! Must be over 21 with valid ID to enter.

• Holiday Inn Mobile Downtown New Year's Eve Gala, 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Celebrate New Year's Eve in style at the Holiday Inn Mobile Downtown, where you can enjoy a night of festivities, dancing, and good vibes.

• New Year's Eve Celebration at B-Bob's, 9 p.m. Get ready to party like there's no tomorrow at B-Bob's New Year's Eve Extravaganza, where the night will be filled with non-stop fun! At Midnight celebrate the count-down with a $500 balloon drop! Catch the 12:30 a.m. Drag Show featuring Jawakatema Davenport, Venus Shante DaVis, Gracie Lou Freebush and the reigning Miss B-Bob's Chocolat D. Dubois!

She answers phone calls, makes estimates and bookings, and contacts customers for their rental needs for both CC’s and Blue Rents. Brooke has been with us for two years, and she helps keep things running smoothly in the office and on our calendar. 🗓️

• Christmas Market with Live Music at Cedar Street Social, 5 p.m. Featuring live music by Bruce Smelley from 7-10. Vendors will be lined up in our yard as well as Mr. and Mrs. Claus posing for pictures in the Outsider patio starting at 6.
• Photos with Santa at the Outsider, 5 p.m. We will be hosting Mr. and Mrs. Claus on our Outsider patio for all families and friends to come by and meet them, take your picture with them, and see what might be coming your kids way for Christmas.
• Claus for the Cause at Grace on Dauphin, 5-8 p.m. Benefit the Salvation Army! Bring the kiddos by for photos with Santa, gift bags, letters to Santa, ornaments and more! All proceeds go to the Salvation Army!
• December LODA ArtWalk in Downtown Mobile, 6 p.m. LoDa ArtWalk celebrates Christmas. This event will highlight creatives within our community, including visual artists, musical performers, and local restaurants - Come downtown to show your support of local artists, arts organizations, and downtown businesses at this fun, family-friendly event. Dress up in your favorite holiday wear and partake in Christmas Karaoke in the square! There will be lots of dancing, singing, photo ops, and of course Santa.

Greer's Markets And 68 Ventures Bowl Presents Mobile’s Largest Mardi Gras Parade with floats from 20 mystical societies. In addition, local high school marching bands and the bowl teams’ bands and cheerleaders will perform.

This event on Dec. 22 at 6:30 p.m. is free and open to the public.
