Welp, had the PodBean account notices going to an old email and missed the notice to renew, so all the Barefoot KY Radio show archives are gone. It wasn’t getting any traffic anymore, and being on a budget it seems not worth it to pay over $100 to open it again. I still have them saved and maybe someday will put out again. Thanks for the awesome music and memories! 🙏🏼💕🪕

The Thieving Crooks Show - song challenge! If you ever thought you could write a song, a poem, or a verse about anything, then here’s your chance to prove it and have it played on our BarefootKYRadio show!

Deadline is September 1st at 12:00PM EST

1. Write a new rhyme, song or verse with the purpose of talking to people who are doing bad, especially thieving crooks. The purpose is to tell them something that will cause them to ponder their ways and even change.
2. Emphasizing, specifically what you say, or story you tell, may help change the way the theivin’ crook thinks and may help them to change their ways to do right!
3. No cuss words or hate speech. (We can’t play such things on the radio). No profane language.
4. Every Genre is welcome. You do not have to be tagged to participate.
5. Send your mp3 of your audio or an email of your written verse to: [email protected] – with the subject “The show for thieving crooks” (or something to that effect).
6. Share this link on your timeline to help support our very own community radio station, RadioLEX WLXU 93.9 LP-FM Lexington – RadioLEX is the Voice of the People. This is our radio station and our voice. It is worth supporting. Please go to RadioLEX.us to donate and let them know you are donating on behalf of BarefootKYRadio, or the Theiving Crooks Show fundraiser!
7. The first 10 people to submit a song will be entered into a random drawing for $100. If 10 songs are not submitted then the $100 will go to RadioLEX. Please share this post to spread the word about supporting our local voice!
