The rain gently descends upon the entire shire, enveloping the fallen marsh grass, the restless lake, the iron-gray gravel roads, and the somber mountain above the croft, obscuring every vista. While sipping a warm cup of tea in this chilly weather, I observe the people, the cars, and the structures that dot the landscape.
