🟦Here's the scenario:
You see a situation unfolding on social media where family & friends of a person who has been missing for an hour is asking the public to help find this person.
The family has contacted Law Enforcement & they are actively searching as well.

🟦These are the only details shared:

🔹A photo of the missing person taken just hours prior

🔹The person is wearing the same clothes in the photo

🔹The missing person vanished from their bedroom after helping their spouse put their children to bed

🔹Their home sits on 10 acres of mostly woods

🔹The missing person is assumed to have their phone

🔹Their car & all other belongings are still at the home

🔹It's 8pm so it was already dark outside when the person disappeared.

🔹Address is also given so people who want to help search know where to go.

🟦People start commenting and asking questions.
The poster refuses to answer questions and continues to ask for help.
A family member also starts commenting telling people to stop asking questions & just help search.

🟦About 5 hours later the post is updated to say the person was found deceased.
That's it. No other information.

⚠️NC-MANHUNT for Dominic Liam Connelly ✴️UPDATE 1️⃣1️⃣/5️⃣ day 8 (Wednesday)
Connelly was spotted in the Wilmar area of Craven County, NC this morning by a LEO crossing railroad tracks.

💲💲The U.S. Marshals and Craven County Crime Stoppers are offering a $5,000.00 reward for information leading to Connelly’s arrest.

🔹Authorities responded to a structure fire at a home in Havelock, North Carolina.
They discovered the body of 72-year-old Patricia Lopedote.
She had been fatally stabbed by her grandson, 24-year-old Dominic Liam Connelly.
🔹Connelly allegedly set the house on fire to cover the murder and fled the scene in Lopedote's stolen vehicle.

🔺1️⃣0️⃣/2️⃣8️⃣(Tuesday):
🔹Lopedote's stolen vehicle is located abandoned on Pine Tree Drive in New Bern, North Carolina, approximately 20 miles from the crime scene in Havelock.
🔹Warrants are issued against Connelly for open count of murder, first-degree arson, and larceny of a motor vehicle.
🔹A manhunt is officially launched by the Craven County Sheriff's Office.

🔺1️⃣0️⃣/2️⃣9️⃣ (Wednesday):
🔹Connelly is spotted at a Bojangles restaurant in Vanceboro, North Carolina, about 36 miles from Havelock.
🔹During an attempted arrest inside the restaurant's bathroom, he allegedly assaulted a Craven County deputy sheriff with a knife, causing serious injuries, before fleeing on foot.
🔹A statewide Blue Alert is issued.
Additional warrants are filed for attempted first-degree murder, felony assault on a law enforcement officer causing serious injury, resisting a public officer, assault inflicting serious injury, assault on a female, domestic violence, and second-degree trespassing.

🔺1️⃣0️⃣/3️⃣0️⃣(Thursday):
🔹The manhunt intensifies with helicopters, drones, K9 units, and saturation patrols in the Vanceboro area.
🔹The Craven County Sheriff's Office issues an updated statement on the deputy's stabbing and announces the additional charges.
Local residents are advised to lock doors and avoid approaching Connelly, described as 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
🔹A $5,000 reward is offered by Craven County Crime Stoppers for information leading to his arrest.

🔺1️⃣0️⃣/3️⃣1️⃣ (Friday):
🔹The search enters its second full day, extending into Halloween night.
🔹A trail camera captures an image of Connelly near U.S. 17 on the Craven-Beaufort County line.
Law Enforcement forms a perimeter, leading to school closures in Vanceboro and cancellation of local events. 🔹Residents are urged to review surveillance and trail cameras for sightings.

⚠️Connelly was last seen wearing a black long sleeved shirt, camo pants and tan boots running towards the Bailey Lane apartments located behind the Vanceboro Bojangles.
He is considered armed and dangerous.
If you see Dominic Connelly, DO NOT APPROACH him. Call 911 immediately.

🔹Craven County deputies say around 530pm on Monday, they received a report of Dominic Connelly crossing Highway 17 North near Highway 102 from Chandler Road in Beaufort County, NC.

🔹Craven County Sheriff’s Office, Beaufort County deputies, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol and U.S. Marshals searched the wooded area for several hours.

🔹Connelly was described by witnesses as wearing dark colored pants and not wearing a shirt.
He was also seen carrying a bag, according to officials

🔹On November 4, Tuesday, a confirmed sighting of Dominic Connelly was reported on a surveillance system on NC 43 Highway in Vanceboro, NC.

🔹Multiple local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies searched the area during the day & overnight for Connelly by ground & air.

🔹Connelly was last seen wearing desert sand in color coveralls.
He was seen carrying a jug of water and a plastic bag.

⚠️HALEY LORENZEN MURDER RE-TRIAL Mill City PA⚠️

🔹The retrial for Phillip D. Walters, convicted of murdering Haley Lorenzen, has been rescheduled after a recent status conference in Wyoming County Court.

🔹Walters, now 38, was found guilty in October 2020 of first-degree murder and abuse of co**se related to the December 2018 killing of his 24-year-old girlfriend, Haley Lorenzen and received a life sentence without the possibility of parole.

🔹The D.A. said this was the first murder conviction in modern history for Wyoming County.

🔹But, now, Walters will have a second trial.

Here's the timeline & details:

SEPTEMBER
🔹Phillip Walters meets Gable Bell online and the 2 start dating.

NOVEMBER
🔹Phillip Walters meets Haley Lorenzen online, via Tinder, while she is living in Gresham, Oregon. They begin a long distance relationship.

🔺2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣8️⃣🔺
NOVEMBER
🔹A year later, Lorenzen moves from Oregon to Mill City Pennsylvania to live with Walters in his apartment.
🔹Walters is still in a relationship with Bell. Bell becomes increasingly insistent that Walters ends things with Lorenzen.

🔺1️⃣2️⃣/2️⃣7️⃣
🔹Walters and Bell were texting about a s*xual fantasy, in which Walters asked Bell how she would k*ll Lorenzen and that afterwards, her body would be thrown into a river.

🔺1️⃣2️⃣/2️⃣9️⃣
🔹Bell texted Walters that she did not want to “play his game anymore.”

🔺1️⃣2️⃣/3️⃣0️⃣
🔹Bell awoke to a text message from Walters indicating that he and Lorenzen had been drinking the night before and that he wanted to hurt her.
🔹He asked Bell to stop texting and switch to Snapchat.
🔹 Walters sent Bell a picture of Lorenzen on the bathroom floor, she appeared to be passed out. He told Bell that Lorenzen might be hurt or dead and asked her to come to his home.
🔹Bell went to Walters' home where she saw Lorenzen in the same spot as the Snapchat photo that was sent earlier. She asked him what happened.
🔹He confirmed that she was dead and he had done it.
🔹Walters said he was in bed with Lorenzen and she was sleeping. He said he tried to choke her while she was sleeping and break her neck but it didn’t
work. So she woke up and was upset and wasn’t feeling well.
🔹He said she went to the bathroom and she was "over the toilet not feeling well". He said he hit her on the back of the head with a hammer and choked her until she wasn’t fighting back anymore.

🔹Bell put Lorenzen’s arm inside of her onesie and "removed a necktie from around her cold neck."
🔸Necktie has never been found.
🔹Walters put grocery bags around Lorenzen’s hands and face "so there would be no blood left anywhere".
🔹He put Lorenzen in the trunk of his car and they tied trash bags of rocks around her.
🔹After cleaning the blood out of the home they drove to the bridge where they threw Lorenzen into the Susquehanna River.
🔹Walters' son was at his apartment at the time that this happened. He was only 6 or 7 yrs old.

🔹Walters called Law Enforcement to report Lorenzen missing.

🔹The Wyoming County DA's office was contacted by an attorney informing them that his client, Gabel Bell, had information regarding Lorenzen’s death.
🔹Bell was interviewed by the PA State
Police, Walters was arrested and charged with Criminal Homicide.
🔹Bell was offered partial immunity in exchange for her first-hand knowledge of the circumstances of Dec. 30, 2018, when she said Walters killed Haley Lorenzen before she arrived.

🔺7️⃣/2️⃣0️⃣
🔹Authorities are called to the bank of the Susquehanna River in Luzerne County after a man walking near Bridge Street in Plymouth spotted a body around 2:30pm.
🔹Ended up being the remains of Haley Lorenzen.
🔹Her body floated 22 miles downstream from the bridge where she was discarded 7 months prior.
🔹Authorities used dental records to identify the body.
🔹She was found with remnants of a white plastic bag tied to her arm.

🔹A jury unanimously finds Walters guilty.

🔹Walters is sentenced to life without parole.

🔹During victim impact statements several of Haley's family members praised Gable Bell for coming forward and "being Haley's hero".
🔹Walters shook his head every time Gable's name was mentioned.
🔹Walters was also given an opportunity to speak to the judge. He said, "No way did I ever harm Haley," and, "I pray someday the truth will come out, and I maintain my innocence."

🔹Walters filed an appeal.

🔺2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣🔺RETRIAL GRANTED
🔺SEPTEMBER
🔹The state Supreme Court reversed Walters' conviction and granted him a retrial.
🔹The court ruled that testimony from a forensic pathologist at Walters’ 2020 trial regarding Lorenzen’s cause of death was inadmissible “because it was not offered within a reasonable degree of medical certainty.”
🔹At trial, Dr. Ross opined that Lorenzen’s body was “in a very advanced state of decomposition,” (noting that even Lorenzen’s neck was missing the bone and cartilage structures), and further testified that there was “no physical evidence that a strangulation occurred.”

🔹However, before testifying Dr. Ross reviewed the case file, which included witness statements. Gabel Bell’s statement, in particular, led to Dr. Ross’s conclusion.
🔹Without any physical indication of harm to Lorenzen’s body, Dr. Ross based his conclusions solely on Bell’s account that Lorenzen died by strangulation.
🔹The remains were severely decomposed. (See photos below for explanation)
🔹No evidence of skull fractures were found.
🔹The court also ordered that Bell provide medical records related to her mental health at the time of the murder.

🔹Trial was supposed to begin September 16th but has now been pushed back to September 23rd and may be pushed back further.

🔹Walters remains incarcerated at State Correctional Institution-Mahoney awaiting his re-trial.

👁️‍🗨️This case was sent to me by a follower who will likely testify at the re-trial.
After speaking to them further I advised them to contact the DA's office.
Information was related to proper authorities just this morning.

👁️‍🗨️My heart breaks for Haley's family, who must now endure the emotional weight of another trial.

🔴A 24-year-old man, identified by a Law Enforcement official as Matthew James Ruth, fatally shot 3 Law Enforcement officers and wounded 2.
The incident happened on Haar Road in Spring Grove PA.

I had to dig deep to find out any info on this one.

With the FBI, ATF & BP taking control so quickly it appeared as though it could have been a sting gone sideways or an undercover op that was blown.
Then the Mexican Consulate made an odd post (see below) and that made me more curious.

Turns out there are a lot of migrant field workers in the area and the Consulate was just addressing them to let them know they should go somewhere safe.

The residence belongs to Craig & Elizabeth Zumbrum. Craig passed away in February 2023.
Elizabeth & her daughter, Julia, reside there now.

Still not sure why the suspects identify was not released immediately.

Here's the timeline leading up to yesterday:

🔺8️⃣/2️⃣0️⃣JULIA's TRUCK IS SET ON FIRE
🔹Julia stated that an unknown person allegedly set her pickup truck on fire while it sat in her driveway.
At the time, she suspected her ex-boyfriend, Ruth, but wasn’t sure.
🔹The Zumbrum's put up trail cams all over their property after that incident.

🔺9️⃣/1️⃣3️⃣
🔹Fire investigator with the Northern York County Regional Police Department returned and determined that the fire had been intentionally set.
🔹During the police interview, Julia's mother showed officers a still photo from the trail cam that showed the suspect in all camouflage behind her daughter’s truck in the driveway.

🔹At that time, the daughter identified the man in the photo as Ruth. She confirmed that they only dated for a short period of time and that Ruth had never been to her house nor even invited there.

🔺9️⃣/1️⃣6️⃣ 11:23pm
🔹An officer with the Northern York County Regional Police Department responded to the property on Haar Road for a report of a man with binoculars looking into the house through a window.
🔹The caller told police that the man possibly arrived in a black truck that was parked on Emig Road around the corner from the home.
🔹The daughter told police that Ruth owns a black Ford Ranger pickup truck, the same one that was located around the corner on Emig Road.
🔹Authorities noted that he appeared to be looking through a scope device pointed at the house.

🔹As officers looked closer at the photo of Ruth, it was noticed that he had what looked like an AR-15 style rifle slung across his chest while he looked in the house.

🔹Over the next several hours, heading into the early hours of Wednesday, Sept. 17, officers attempted to locate Ruth but were unsuccessful.
🔹Once police arrived, they did not locate a man but did observe a black Ford Ranger parked on Emig Road.
🔹A warrant was issued for Ruth.

🔺9️⃣/1️⃣7️⃣
🔹When officers returned on Wednesday for a follow-up, Matthew Ruth, allegedly lying in wait, opened fire from the cornfield, killing 3 officers.
🔹He then approached the house, engaging in a shootout with 3 York County Sheriff’s Office members who were present.
🔹Two officers were seriously injured, but the third returned fire, killing Ruth.

🔹Law Enforcement waited for Matthew Ruth’s father to return from work, spoke with him for approximately 20 minutes, and then arrested him between 10pm and midnight.
🔹The reason for the arrest is unclear.
🔹No charges have been filed against him, per online court records, and he was not listed at the booking center or county jail.

🔹Neither the police nor the district attorney’s office provided details about the incident involving Ruth’s father. Neighbors reported that police stayed at the Ruth residence until around 1 a.m. Thursday.
