I’m Kersten Veronesi, your certified Pilates BFF at Peach Pear Pilates and I'm here to make movement fun and accessible for every body. Movement comes in many ways. Pilates is my first movement love, but recnetly I’ve fallen in love with rebounding throughout my day for a little energy boost and getting my lymph system moving 🙌

From super targeted workouts for specific pain, mobility, enjoyment, specific props…the sky is the limit here.

Each of us has our own loves and dislikes when it comes to fitness. As someone healing their relationship with movement, I have majorly struggled with feeling seen and heard in this environment.

One of the biggest barriers of starting any form of movement is pain. As a larger person myself, moving can be uncomfortable and downright painful at times. It wasn’t until I found Pilates that my mindset towards exercise changed and I began to heal my relationship with fitness.

Now whether you do Pilates at home, go to a studio or all of the above, no one wants to be in pain and we all want to see success.

What are some issues you have faced in Pilates? From movements that are uncomfortable, moves you are scared to do, let me know.

I want Pilates to be accessible to all bodies and I love helping people find modifications that allow them to progress their Pilates practice forward, feeling fully supported with the tips and tools they need.

I hope this Valentine's Day is filled with creating memories with those you love.

This day is about love in all forms, so if you are on a journey of health, remember that this also means learning to change your mindset to one of learning to love yourself. No matter where you are on your health journey (just starting or hitting big goals) take some time to be kind to you and celebrate the wins you are making every day.

Your body loves you every day by keeping you alive, so talk to yourself with kindness and grace as you would a good friend. The relationship you have with yourself is the longest one that you will ever have, so choose to be kind to you every day.

I am not going to sugar coat it, life can be soooo hard sometimes! Right now I'm dealing with inflammation, thyroid, hormonal issues and sometimes when things pile on I just want to quit.

All the hard work I am doing and it seems my body is fighting me regardless. It is a really defeating time right now, but I am choosing to fight and keep on my health journey because my future self will thank me and I will be able to help, encourage, and inspire others that are also struggling.

Life will always come at us and we do not know what tomorrow will bring. The struggles I experience today will give me the strength for what is to come and grow me into a better human. Through difficulty is when true strength grows.

So if you are struggling today, keep pushing. Dig in and be kind to you. Do not give up on yourself. We only fail when we throw in the towel and never try again.

I get this question a LOT. So I figured this is a great illustration. Pilates was developed during WWII. Joseph Pilates took springs from beds to develop the first version of a reformer to help those rehabilitating be able to gain back their strength and recover while in bed.

I always say that pilates is a mix of yoga with strength training, minus the spiritual aspect. In pilates the breath has power to bring oxygen to the body helping it to perform, heal, and tone. I am going through a lot right now in my body and I am using pilates to help heal. It lowers cortisol levels with the slow and targeted movements as opposed to being in a cardio machine that raises my cortisol.

Now I am not saying one is better than the other. You need to always choose what is right for your body and mental health. For those looking to find an exercise they love, try new things and see if you can use movement to heal.

Why Marketing Dame?

For most of my life I have have a lifelong love for marketing. From gaining an BS in Marketing to an MBA focused on Marketing, my love for the industry only continues to grow.

For the last 5 years I have run my social media business Speakeasy Market Strategies and it is here on my personal brand that I will not only talk about social media, but my love for marketing strategy.

No Speakeasy is not going away, but it is here that I will begin branching out with consulting, training, and speaking.
