Whenever I leave Jakarta to head back to Singapore, I have a quirky habit. I would make a stop at this particular art piece to pay my “tribute”. This is publicly displayed on a wall near the departure gate. But everyone seems to be so busy rushing that no one really cares to look at it. This acrylic art piece is named Lembah Harapan. It basically means the Valley of Hope and is named after a town in East Java. I like the simplicity and child-like charm of the piece. It speaks of bio-diversity, imagination and acceptance. In this Valley of Hope, there is no prejudices, no selfishness and no poisonous thoughts or jealousy. And everyone guards what is precious and cherish what they have been given in this life on earth. That purple Dino always make me smile. And with that, I would be at peace, board the plane and leave Jakarta - all boxes checked and done! ✅ ... how I miss those trips! Lol
