Out now 🎶 Boštjan Simon, renowned for his contributions to jazz and electroacoustic genres, unveils his debut solo album, “Fermented Reality.” 🚀 The album explores the fusion of acoustic and electronic sounds from saxophone and modular synthesiser. 🎛️
Building on Jackie McLean’s idea that “Saxophone is a drum,” Simon emphasises the percussive aspect, amplifying key clanks and experimenting with an interactive module, Octosense. 🥁 Resulting in a unique interplay of sounds, showcasing the saxophone’s transformation through anaerobic and creative fermentation. 🌬️🎨

Out today ‘Hold on’ - LINK IN BIO

Aloosh’s comeback continues with the bitter/sweet single of ‘Hold On’. This track features the funky driving bassline of bass player supported by the smooth rhythm of drummer , all is musically embellished with disco strings from party queen rounding off the three French players influence. and Alastair share vocal duties with and picking up the soulful backing to make this a shift from the darker guitar based tracks of the past into new synth territory. Choruses mirror the verses with a positive and future looking mantra which shows the bands maturity into pop after a 15 year career.

‘In today's world of meditation apps that track you and instant spirituality, Mcbeing poses a question about the development of our core values - gratitude, love, peace, kidness. These values being an important part of our spiritual music heritage, they sound a bit vague today, i guess they've been comodified to many times? In the track the digital voice stands againts the joyful musicality of live playing, puting two different expressions of the same terms againts each other.’


As with previous volumes this CD, which has been compiled by Shane Woolman and James Gormley, is packaged in a heavy duty card sleeve designed by The Wire's art director Ben Weaver and featuring artwork by Bráulio Amado. It contains a range of new, rare or exclusive tracks from across the spectrum of the kind of underground/outsider musics covered in The Wire.

Yila ft from Marcell’s studio in Berlin - testing out the ‘Polygogo’ Live and improvised.

And exploration of two oscillators, simple harmony and what’s possible with evolving timbre. The Polygogo cut like a knife through Marcell’s electro beats on acoustic drums and the analogue bounce of the Pulsar 23. A kind of instant composition, nothing prepared and all gained. Aloosh return with ‘Waiting’ LINKINBIO

The lockdown enforced break of ‘s session singing and Alastair’s producing gave space new songs to appear. ‘Waiting’ is the first single from the mini E.P ‘Another Breakup’. A track about the need for something that will never arrive and the longing of imagination that keeps people together. The breakup album is a reunion and a mature new cooler sound from the band, retaining a trip-hop dark tinge. While remains a member; this song adds on drums and the addition of vocal duet and joined by .wav on 12 string, who are all great artists in their own right

After almost 10 years away we kick off the Aloosh renaissance with Raketa’s Deep house remix of the forthcoming single ‘Waiting’ ft vocals

“This remix draws inspiration from a spring reverb chime sample of the original and resampling the guitar / vocals to build a deeper dancefloor track. The result is a Bristol-sounding trip hop inspired soulful tune that translates the liquid funk vibe into a house genre”

Raketa brings the dance floor energy she’s known for in Ljubljana to this laid back soulful tune.

‘Speak your body’ Out today! 6/5 - LINK IN BIO.

presents his debut electroacoustic album ‘Speak Your Body‘ – 20 tracks made between 2019 and 2021. The material comes from different sources; sound sculpting, beat making, spontaneous sessions with friends and moments of exploration with a given instrument, which he connects with a surrealist cut-up narrative.

The album has a strong foundation in synths and piano sounds but each song features different instrumentation, modern orchestration, jazz solos, field recordings and vocals that appear as an inner-voice. There is an improvisational approach injected into this of which the complexity of free improv moments are left unedited.

Added layerings act as an additional stimulus to underline the idea of every song and connect these with the rich sonic landscape. Topics range from childhood memories, body / mind duality, reflections of emotional pain and the idea of this music serving as an archive of moods and thoughts that can translate to others.

NEW Release - Rok Zalokar , pianist & composer, is an integral part of the Ljubljana jazz scene but now we present his debut solo as a producer 'People Laugh at You, But You Just Smile' which is taken from his forthcoming electro-acoustic album 'Speak your body' (6th May)

Rok says "this music tries to unify his expressions and bridge the gap between improvised and produced music" and we think this first single is a great example of offgrid chilled euphoria, a retro tinge to a new future!
