So I always try to go through all of the CD racks whenever I'm out Thrifting. CDs are not usually a huge money maker. Most of them only sell for $2-$3 each. However I have had a ton of luck with them so far. A month ago I found a Taylor Swift Concert CD/DVD Combo that sold for $44. This week I found a huge collection of 1970s/1980s Classic Rock CDs all for $1 each.

I found 7 Black Sabbath Cds, 10 AC / DC CDs, 1 Led Zeppelin Complete Studio Recordings Box Set, and 1 Alice in Chains Box Set.

I got the Black Sabbath Lot listed first and less than 24 hours later sold for $45

I then got the AC/DC Collection listed and made it $50, and again within 24 hours received an offer for $45!

I still have the Led Zeppelin and Alice in Chains Sets listed, but my lesson here is DONT PASS UP THE CDs!!

Even if you just find 1 or 2, save them up until you get a nice sized collection together and then list them as a lot.

My other advice is: Take some time to take cool pictures! Use descriptions, be transparent about any flaws. The buyers appreciate someone that puts effort into their listings. If you look at most listings out there they are done super quick, most have only 1 picture, and either a generic description, or no description at all.

I find that I can usually charge more for my listings and still sell them over others who are marked lower, just because of the time and effort I put into displaying them and presenting them in a nice way.

Keep Pickin!

🚨🚨🤯🤯 MIND BLOWING BOLO 🤯🤯🚨🚨

So since I've started thrifting, the stuff that actually sells on eBay has completely astonished me, I've learned so much about things that I never thought had ANY value before.

But what I've learned is pretty much everything has value to someone, so that's why I made this page and why I want to create content for you, so that you can learn the things that I learn and make some extra money in today's crazy economy!

So that brings me to the point:

90s Blue "Low Prices" or "Roll Back" plastic bags sell on eBay for $5-$15 each!!!

🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

Can you believe it? Well I couldn't either until I looked up the Sold Comps seen in the picture!

Better believe I'm looking for these from now on

I found this VCR / DVD Combo Unit at Goodwill, but the really cool thing about it is that you can use it to transfer your old VHS tapes to a DVD and it will burn the DVD right on the console.

Brand new they go for $700+ and while I probably could have gotten more for it, other people have it listed for under $100 because they don't do the pricing research.

I put it up for $199 with a great description and really good pictures and someone made me an offer for $150 3 days later which I accepted!

I found this Vintage Granite Wear Lobster/Clam/Crab/Crawfish Boil Pot at Goodwill only 3 Days ago for $20.

I marked it at $149 due to some of the sold Comps going that high. It just sold tonight (3 days later) for $110, best offer accepted!

I'm not an expert on kitchenware by any means but I am ALWAYS looking out for unusual and vintage items, and when I saw this pot I loved the lobster and corn graphics.

Did a quick lookup on eBay and decided to pull the trigger for $20. eBay sold Comps are your best friend while out thrifting!! It tells you just how much people value each item even if you personally don't value it at all.

🌐 Selling Beyond eBay: Exploring Thriving Reselling Platforms 🛒

Are you ready to take your reselling game to the next level? 🚀 While eBay might be your go-to, there's a treasure trove of other online platforms waiting to help you turn items into profits. Today, let's dive into the world of alternative reselling platforms and uncover what makes each one unique.

5. Etsy: 🎨

Starting at #5, I have Etsy.

Crafters and artisans, this one's for you. Etsy is the ultimate destination for handmade, vintage, and unique items. If you've got a knack for crafting, or if you find vintage treasures that deserve a loving home, Etsy's passionate community is ready to discover your offerings.

When it first launched it was mostly ONLY for handmade items, but now it has transitioned to accept a variety of thrifted items.

The biggest difference for me between Etsy and the others is that they charge you $0.20 per listing as a listing fee, so if you list quite a lot, but they don't end up selling, you will be out some money.

4. Facebook Marketplace: 🏠

Coming in at #4, I have Facebook Marketplace

Want to connect with local buyers? Facebook Marketplace is your virtual garage sale. It's ideal for larger and heavier items like furniture, appliances, signs and even vehicles. Plus, the convenience of connecting with nearby buyers can lead to quick and easy sales.

I've just started scratching the surface on selling with shipping through Facebook and I've found that it's actually quite easy and profitable for sellers!

Facebook only charger 5% sales fees on your item vs the 10-15% you'll pay on all of the other reseller apps

The downside of Facebook is that there are alot more scammers, and window shoppers asking you: "is this still available?" And then fading into the ether. If you can deal with the small annoyances then it can actually be quote a good platform to make money on.

3. Poshmark: 🛍️

At Number #3, I have Poshmark

Love fashion? Poshmark could be your style haven. This social commerce platform focuses on clothing, shoes, and accessories. The interactive community vibe makes it a great space to showcase your fashion finds. From street style to high-end couture, Poshmark is where fashion enthusiasts gather to buy, sell, and connect.

I personally have had a poshmark account since I started reselling, but not very many sales. It's a very hard to understand platform, with a unique community of sellers. When you first join they will have HUNDREDS of accounts automatically "follow" you and make you feel bvery popular. You will also get hundreds of notifications letting you know that people have shared your listings. But very few people actually buy.

I've read many guides about how to maximize your poshmark and they all revolve around building your following, sharing, and doing live shows where you can interact with customers and discount/sell your items during the show.

If you're into that kind of thing it might be a great platform for you, but for me it's one of my lowest producers.

2. Depop: 📸

At #2, I have Depop

Gen Z's reselling paradise! Depop combines social media aesthetics with a marketplace vibe. Perfect for fashion-forward finds, unique vintage, and streetwear. With its photo-driven approach, Depop lets you showcase your items like they're part of an artful collection.

I actually REALLY love Depop! It's very fun and you are actually encouraged to be creative with your images instead of the plain white background they expect you to use on eBay and Mercari for the algorithm.

Lots of sellers use colorful background, or even model the clothing themselves! It's definitely a platform for a you get generation, but I've done really well on it, and love using it daily! I highly recommend.

1.Mercari: 📦

Finally, at #1, I have Mercari!

If you're looking for a diverse range of categories, Mercari has you covered. From electronics and beauty products to home goods, this platform welcomes a wide variety of items. The easy-to-use interface and straightforward listing process make it a popular choice for both buyers and sellers.

I personally consider Mercari the "Newer, Cleaner, Faster eBay". I love it! You can list almost everything there, and there are a ton of seller tools to help you make sales and view your statistics.

It's very easy to see who has liked your items, and how many people have viewed them, which helps me decide whether or not my prices are right. The messaging system is smooth and easy. And my #1 most appreciated feature is that whenever a sale is completed Mercari ASKS your customer to rate you and if they don't, mercari will rate you themselves for the transaction!! I can't tell you how many sales I've made in eBay without any positive feedback just because the people were too busy or lazy to rate the transaction, that doesn't happen on Mercari.

Each of these platforms comes with its own flavor, attracting different audiences and catering to various niches. The secret sauce to succeeding on any platform lies in understanding its unique dynamics and tailoring your approach accordingly.

So, what's your niche? Whether you're into fashion, vintage, crafts, or home goods, there's a platform that's just right for you. Dive in, explore, and let your items find their new homes while you make a profit doing what you love! 💰🌟

I Love You Betty Crocker! 😍😍😍

Next time you're at a Thrift Store, don't overlook the cookbooks!! The thing that initially stood out about this to me was the color, BRIGHT ORANGE like a traffic cone! But I loved the vintage pictures inside and all of the amazing vintage recipes that are most likely forgotten by now.

I did some checking and there were others listed. But they were either in really bad condition, or they were the 5 ring binder type cook books, or they were very late editions (30th, 35th etc)

This book was a First Edition, First Printing! And was in really good condition for a 54 year old book.

I bought it for $3 at Sunshine Thrift Store and decided to list it for $75 which was double what the other later editions were listed for.

After a week I lowered the price by $5 to $70, and then 1 week later it sold!

I truly love vintage books because people overlook and undervalue them, but there is so much wisdom hidden inside!

So this 3D Hunting Camo/Gilly Suit was definitely a rare and unusual find for me! But wow did it pay off.

People ask me all the time "what kind of stuff do you like to buy?" And I always tell them I buy a little bit of everything, ESPECIALLY stuff I haven't seen before that's in great condition, like this hunting suit was.

It was basically brand new without tags at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, and they had it marked at $14 for the Parka and Pants together.

I did a quick lookup and found out that the Parka by itself sells for over $150 new and the pants for over $100, so I bought them!

I had them listed individually for about a week or so. And then decided to sell them together for $125 + Shipping.

After about another week or so I received an offer on Mercari for $94, which I accepted! I got them shipped out right away and they were to their new owner by the next day! He was kind enough to give me a great review too 😊

I Normally don't buy CDs because they just don't sell that well on average...But there are exceptions to every rule and Taylor Swift is DEFINITELY an exception!

This CD is a CD/DVD Combo of her 2011 World Tour...I found it at a Garage sale for 50 cents! I put it on an auction starting around $9 and it ended up selling for $44 after 11 bids

Now whenever I find CDs I always look through them to try to find Taylor Swift, she is so popular right now that you can't risk passing it up!

So not every thrift store is created equal...Where I live in the Tampa Bay Area, Goodwill is way too expensive pretty much across the board. Salvation Army is one of my favorites even though some of their prices have gone up quite a bit over the last couple years.

That's why you have to know what to look for to score deals!!

At Salvation Army their T Shirts are usually $1.99 and if you dig you can find some serious treasures.

I found this Vintage 1999 Jose Canseco Devil Rays T Shirt and it still had the original tags on it over 24 years later!! Jose Canseco is a pretty infamous baseball player from the 90s, he was responsible for a large part of the "Steroid Era" and he was pretty unapologetic about it, making him a cult favorite.

I threw this up on EBay for $100 and immediately started getting watchers.

On day 15 I received an offer for $75 and accepted!
