🔥 Playing with fire… 🔥
"Le Feu" ("The Fire") produced by XTATX Studio for the Nikon Film Festival is a short animated film based on a text which came to mind on a sleepless night. The words spilled across the page, transforming themselves into a story that is universal. It takes us through the stages of life from which no one escapes.
A quirky animation, grounded in a timeless message.

Available to watch on the Nikon Film Festival platform along with all other submissions.
We won't say no if you want to give us a vote for the opportunity to win the public's choice! 😌 You can access the film via our link in bio ➡ .studio

⚡ Purpose driven creativity ⚡

That's the gist when it comes to my work with .studio

Registered in Nov 2019, XTATX had a small starting portfolio of work to share.

A mixture of client commissions and internal passion projects, some of it serious some of it eccentric.

Along with our origin story, and I have compiled our business' first collection of pre-registration creative work. Dare to peek? 👀

We’re looking back at the Power of Women International Women’s Day event that platformed and celebrated the incredible art of local women and nonbinary talent, whilst raising funds for Refuge. This video gives you a feel for the night and covers a little bit of everyone involved. This was a people-powered event as you can see throughout.

As we reach the end of Women’s Month, let’s make sure that each and every day of every month of every year, greater equality is sought for all people across all genders, sexes, races, ethnicities, abilities, beliefs, nationalities, socio-economic backgrounds, and identities.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭! The final numbers are in and we’re ecstatic to share that thanks to the generous support of individual crowd funders, company sponsors, event attendees, performers, host and events team...

📣 𝑿𝑻𝑨𝑻𝑿 𝑺𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒊𝒐 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒅 £1,651 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒇𝒖𝒈𝒆!

What does this actually mean for Refuge and the people they support? In numbers, this amount can provide the equivalent of one of the following services:

🗯 110 essential packs provided to women on arrival in a refuge.

🗯 33 programmes of activity provided to children during their stay in a refuge.

🗯 32 nights provided to women and their children for a safe stay in a refuge.

Beyond the numbers, the support Refuge provides is qualitative too. In the words of Louise Rafferty, Community Fundraising Manager at Refuge who joined us at the event to share valuable insight on the work they do:

🦋 “[refuges] are more than just emergency accommodation, giving someone a roof over their head. They are also giving women the space and time to be able to make decisions about their future.”

We've officially started announcing our line up. Here you have three performers for "The Power of Women" - an event organised on International Women's Day to celebrate female and nonbinary talent, all whilst raising money for Refuge.

One of the most passionate and eclectic artists in the UK, Amar's process is about harnessing the now and detaching from their original circumstances to create an honest and non-judgmental expression of the self in order to reach their true potentiality in life and within their artistry.

Lesley Ewen is an incredible contemporary performance maker working in various media, as required by what wants to appear, avoiding binaries and silos.

Tilda Allie is an exciting Swedish music producer, vocalist and visual artist, exploring alternative soundscapes mixed with electronic-pop, soul, jazz, and cinematic music.

These are just three of our nine performers lined up for the evening. Find out more about each artist in their individual introduction posts on our newly created Instagram page:

What's with the name?

Pronounced: extatex

XTATX is a palindrome, meaning that whichever way you read it, you get the same result - a metaphor for the idea that with whichever perspective you approach art and design, whichever medium you use, it is the process which truly counts.

If the input is greatness, that is what will result. Your efforts will reflect back at you.

XTATX mirrors the excitement with which we would like everyone to see the world.
