Putting my foot down with my employer…
If you have been following me for a while, you know that I night life as a bartender. I do this purely out of the fact that I love it.
The other night I realized, I don’t get paid enough to deal with the s**t that I do. Most people know that servers and bartenders don’t get paid minimum wage and live off of their tips. As of late, those tips haven’t been making the bills, let alone deal with the condescending attitudes of the people that frequent the place. It was starting to take a toll on my mental and physical well being.
I was always told, well read, that if you feel the need to get a second job, to start a business. After a while that business will take care of you and you will only have that business and can and will expand on it.
So, that’s what I did.
In setting boundaries with my employer, I now have the time to put into my business, and for my mental and physical well being. Just having three days off every other week has helped me flourish as a person and a business woman and has helped me to see my worthiness to be able to succeed in whatever I want to.
Discovering your worth as a CEO of your own business is never easy. Whether it is setting boundaries with clients, or in my case other employers, increasing your prices or putting an hour aside a day to work on your mindset.
YOU WERE BORN WORTHY & the universe loves you. It wants to see you succeed. And you will once you start to reroute those negative thoughts that pop into your head. Mindset is key when it comes to knowing your self-worth.
Save this post for later and DM me to see how I can help you feel worthy in your business.
