People have such Dark souls.
Imagine being so angry that you have to grief on someone else's post asking for help there's been more. But like these I post are real issues that have not been addressed. Or fixed. And as falling thu the system. We are still experiencing extreme difficulties and no services are getting any traction at all for my friend

To be told to get shot because we we're finding another home for the dog while in rehabilitation ?? Shows they are suffering themselves may be seek help. Or. EPS or something. Like text 1737

Sorry if this news brings offence to some people I have no idea of the situations they are dealing with

The very least I can do it bring some attention and hope that will bring some good.

I will see what I can doo but. Atm supporting my friend with functional neurological disorder and suspected mast cell activation syndrome. And even just trying to find an inkling of support for her witch seems neglectful at best sucks.

Struggling with keeping any hope for my friend whos at rock bottom 1 Ed docters was concerned of her next to no reflexes suspected baclofen intoxication from doseing to high.

after shift change in observation next doctor . on ua go we have more important people.

Docters just doctering getting no traction.

Neurology appointment on the 12th seemd to be cancelled due to our 9c visit witch we found out on the 13th. As we did not show...

(no letter saying anything about neurology appointment).

Welfare of my friend is very scary. Pill are becoming less effective and next doctor appointment is on Thursday 🤞🤞hope we can get there just trying new ways to be comfortable and content till docs appointment.....

Why when I ask where hospital food comes from I get told different stories. auckland or christchurch. or kitchen at the hospotal

I think it's important to know. As in for my friends case who has a histamine intolerance due to her MCAS. does the pre-cooked food spend hours in transportation this could be poisoning her to say the lest.

but healthy for people that don't have those intolerances

any insites anyone please

After dischargeing her self from 9c this is all we know she can eat that dose not make any health problems. It's going to be a long road

Have to say a huge thanks for the dog waker who phoned the police. When she leftd she was found by you unresponsive. I'm sorry you had to be in that kind of position

She was not in a very good space at all. You did an awesome thing/job we would of never of found her

Very disappointed in 9c. For not even calling the cops or security even after askd as I go drive around looking for her who clearly wanted to self harm that you dismissed. I ring the cops to update the info and there was no job ...... P**s poor.....
I will be in contact for the email I asked for about her dietary requirements as that yet has not been printed out for her below is all you have let her know she can eat in till her next dietitian appointment. ( Is that weeks or months away)

I'm angry I'm pissd. She can't even get a brake. From her symptoms. And you can't even listen to her plee. To say even my self expressed concerns and completely dismissed

I'm down to know if any one who's got a good law game could kindly help 7 months for rehab is to much to wait when no medication can make her feel comfortable with mast cell activation and. Functional neurological disorder

We have really only been told to want for rehab and eat bluebird ready salted chips and water

The health system is very overwhelmed with patients it seemz. My friend can't get the timely help she needs due to the availability of qualified staff.
The limited amount of staff with the increasing amount of patients. This is just unfear on her and other patients. I'm now losing confidence in the health system and I feel times ahead are going to get much harder being diagnosed with functional neurological disorder. And mast cell activation

We are lost on ways to help.
And have a feeling support for these is little to none

We will take the diagnosis but that's still not helping with managing helping supporting or just making her feel a bit more comfortable in life.

I feel sorry for the staff who have to say see you next week... As they have other patients to attend to and generally regionally as well

The staff are fantastic but the funds to support these fantastic people is very questionable

tortured by New Zealands health system. for months with no end in site.

The emergency department has the full ability to treat my friend as an inpatient but she doesn't score high enough.....

Weekly doctor visits.
Every week we go to her doctor.

last week we had to get a blood test.
Have to wait a week to act on that blood test
To my understanding the bloods are normal.

Next week possibly one more blood test as we wait weekly

So she needs to find a way to sit at home comfortably for days on end. Day after day after day.

With tremors and twitches in all parts of her body.
At multiple times in multiple places nonstop.
She is Soo tired and fatigued and have lost over 6kg in less than a weeks.

Applying steroid cream to her face to keep her facial rash from flaring up and eye drops for her eyes

she has lost her appetite not for the fact of eating food. for the fact she just gets worse if she eats the wrong foods
and is now just drinking Ensure drinks as that's her only safe option

We have spent hundreds on other forms of treatments

The doctor's referral for neurology is possibly seven to nine months away (possibly) in hopes of getting diagnosed with something.

Meanwhile, rheumatology and dermatology have declined.

From my knowledge, Ed has the ability to class her as an inpatient to get treatment this week?? But because her symptoms are not life-threatening she does not qualify ......

Even though She can't drive nor do anything other than use her mobile phone when her hands aren't twitching or cramping. Sleeping is next to impossible she nods off and 10 seconds to 1 Minute she's twitches awake all throughout the hours

her toes, feet, calves, thigh, buttocks, hips, shoulders, upper arms, lower arms, hands, fingers, neck, back of head, chin lips nose eyebrows, twitch, flutter, cramp
24/7. Flutter and twitches and jolt. but is just dismissed and told to go home try this new medication and go to ED if you react to it

because she is able to walk, shower, talk, and is not in pain she's fine and told to get help in other ways. dismissed and sent home with meds she now reacts to and increases the problems

She just has to go home. Stay home and wait for a new thing every week only Falling asleep to fatigue just to wake up by twitches whenever a strong one comes.

This is torture this is neglect feeling dismissed and downplayed.
she just wants to know whats going on with her body.

This is not about the staff or people who have helped this post is about the paperwork the awesome staff have to go on who are underpaid and overworked and under-resourced and the look on the ED doctor's face when they cant help her because she just does not fit the paperwork needed and telling her to just go home...

we only want to know whats going on??? and no one can tell us anything but just to go home and wait for your next doctor's appointment

The health systems sucks still no progression in relief For my friend. And just watching her get weeker by the day she's just been lifted with her probs. To deal with. And we can't manage any medication given she reacts to. And no one can tell us anything to why

Watching a good friend of mine go though hell. Its Soo painful over 5+ docters. And different emergency department doctors in chch and Dunedin over 2+ months

She has just two options

not to take medication which leaves her with a severe rash on her face that comes with dry, hard itchy skin and alergic reactions where her eyes, lips and tounge swell up she also get very itchy stingy eyes that feel like they have grit in them

Or

Take prescribed steroids
And live with 24/7 micro twitches that are all over her body and thumpy heart palputations every 5-10 beats, severe chest tightness and fast heart rate

(doctor has said its a immune responce where the body attacks it self causing inflamation)

ED doctors understandably can't do much.
General practitioners are always having some new ideas

She is now learnt steroids in general is what is causing the twitchingness as soon as she now takes her hydrocortisone her twitches come right back this is hell for her

It's Christmas time. And the availability of appointments is little we/she feels nothing can be dun.

As much as what nurses and doctors are doing and ever going above and beyond . Each day we come back home just to live with these problems.

As of now. She's looking at selling her dog to afford rheumatology privately as she can not wait months to be seen this seems to be the only action
This is heart breaking

As of right now. Her hydrocortisone steroid is not enough for the inflamation and her rash and other problems is slowly coming back. As her twitches are becoming more prominent today.
