DJI RS3 + Sony a7s III + 16-35mm GM ii

Sure 60p can smooth out some handheld window shots, but the RS3 gives those extra inches of stable lowering to get more of the surrounding in the composition. Too high and all you see is asphalt which does very little for the story vs the sand dunes and blue skies. Also a little extra extension from the car keeps your car out the wide angle.
When a car mount isn’t in the cards shoot out the back or out and low out the side. What do you use when filming out a car?

For run and gun, zoom lenses come in clutch for capturing moments in different focal lengths. I use primes selectively at events for low light performance or extra bokeh at the expense of coverage and shot versatility.

Being ready to grab a wide shot, medium and closeup in seconds versus minutes while changing lenses can be the difference between getting the shot and missing it. Also being able to punch in at 70mm allows me to be more selective of the backgrounds hiding distracting elements while highlighting complementary elements.
