Imaobong Sunday vs Apostle Chibuzor (OPM)
Few days ago, I was discussing with a pastor friend of mine. Then, the trending issue of Imaobong Sunday and Apostle Chibuzor came up.
In case you don't know, Imaobong claims that Apostle Chibuzor is the father of her baby. She says she has come out publicly because Apostle has refused to take care of her baby like his other babies by other women. Imaobong claims that the church board is aware, and was party to the agreement signed by the Apostle to take care of the baby after DNA test conducted in Ghana and paid by Apostle himself proved that indeed, he is the father.
Imaobong had narrated how she came to live in the OPM free house, before being subjected to another thing she no know. She has shown so many receipts as proof.
She may be lying,
But....
My pastor friend said Apostle is as guilty as charged, and lamented that Apostle was too amateur to have gone into the sort of agreement he went into with the girl (written, signed and witnessed by witnesses including some church board members).
My pastor friend insisted that Apostle was a learner.
I reminded him that Apostle should have consulted the other Apostle in Auchi to brush him up in the business.
Then, I confessed to my pastor friend that I liked him.
I like him for one thing; if he was the one that impregnated Imaobong or any other lady, I can swear that the girl would be safe, and would never have any fear of "disappearing". My pastor friend has never pretended to be Jesus nor infallible, and is not the type that would go to the extreme to hush a scandal.
Am I praising him? No! Whoever that calls himself a pastor should be able to show restraint and exhibit some level of moral rectitude. But sadly, that is no longer tenable with majority of Nigerian pastors.
With due respect to the very few who still respect themselves and emulate Christ, truth is that the most dangerous people to leave one's sister, daughter or wife with today is pastors.
First, they have unusual influence over the victims; if they want you, they will get you. It's more like hypnosis. The woman may not like what they want to do to her, but she will do it nonetheless.
Secondly, rejecting them is also dangerous. Because they fear that the woman can expose them after rejecting their advances and proposal, some of them wouldn't have any qualms about doing anything to gag the victim and hush up the incident. They can pay money, they can also cause a victim to "disappear".
Few weeks ago for instance, a court in Port Harcourt sentenced to death a general overseer for ki*lling 3 people. He had impregnated his choir member, and when the girl didn't abort the pregnancy, he lured the girl to his home, where he k*illed her, and of course the baby in her belle.
The girl's friend, being that her friend had told her she was going to see the pastor, went to the pastor's home to see what was holding the girl after she waited and didn't see her. She too was kil*led, along with her own baby. In all, the overseer ki*lled 4 people if you add the one in her mistress' belle.
That's how dangerous! Just in a bid to cover a scandal, and protect their ministry. Ordinary men will hardly go this length.
This general overseer was was caught because the husband to the second woman had idea where the wife went, and insisted that the overseer be investigated.
There have been many such cases that went unresolved, and those concerned carried on with their ministry work as though nothing happened.
Amos was a house help who lived with Apostle Suleiman. In fact, he was the one that gave sordid revelations of apostle's sexual escapades. He and the brother had to run abroad for dear life.
But one striking thing is the account the boy gave about Martha, an underaged girl living with Suleiman. When Suleiman started making advances to the girl, the girl would meet with her Oga, and would come back to inform Amos what their Oga said and what he wanted. As at then, the girl could not bring herself to do what Oga was asking him. She was bothered about how madam would feel. In bated breath, Amos asked the little girl to run for dear life, because her rejection had endangered her life.
And then, accepting Oga's proposal would still endanger her life. It's like a choice between the devil and the deep blue sea.
A lot is happening these days in Christendom.
