The beginnings of the perfect book nook. Crimson tides is a short dystopian film about falling in love with a book series that has been banned and is actively been sought out and burned. The design components of this film have been absolutely inspiring.
In case anyone needed an idea of the books we’re covering 😃 did a cinematic tour of our location for the upcoming crimson tides production….no shortage of books here.
Four years ago I shot Feline Fatale, my absolute favourite movie I’ve made. It was literally a no budget just for fun winter shoot because I wanted to make a horror movie that depicted no violence towards woman and do my part to combat the bisexual eraser. Now it’s going to be screening as part of the cabaret on Feb 20th and I couldn’t be happier. This film is full of charm, murder and your favourite feline!
We took home awards for best practical/special effects and best use of inspiration package at the plus got a nom for best supporting actor! We had fun and made something stupid. Congrats to everyone who participated!!

Short Film Face Off is a television series on CBC that showcases emerging filmmakers from all across Canada.
Attention! Mentorship opportunity with Kaitlyn Adair in directing and production design! The intention of this opportunity is to provide experiential learning and a starting place for emerging film artists with interest in directing and/or production design. You will be involved in pre-production and be on set for Rebel Femmes upcoming short film Oculus. Oculus is a design heavy experimental film reframing mental illness through an escape room of the mind.

I made a little video for the spirit project folks out of footage they all shot on cell phones. The reaction to seeing themselves on the big screen filled my heart in ways that are indescribable. Representation in film and TV matters. As a cis white women with an invisible disability I get the opportunity to see myself on the screen. That's just not the case for others and it SHOULD BE. There are no more excuses. Let this group inspire you to keep pushing so that everyone can have this opportunity.
