After an unexpected break, Amy is back with an interview with Doug Thompson, a passionate storyteller and TEDx speaker. Doug can usually be found sharing his passion for storytelling in his LinkedIn videos and his Tech Story podcast. His passion is coaching and mentoring other technology professions on how to stop “techsplaining” and start storytelling. He believes that everyone has a story, and it is just a matter of unlocking it from the grips of the subconscious mind.

Currently Doug is an AI Ambassador and Technology Strategist Director for the Education team at Microsoft where he leverages his 30+ years in tech sales to help his customers transform the student expereince to empower teachers and students of today create the world of tomorrow.

Doug and his wife, of more than 37 years, enjoy spending time with their two children and 7 grandchildren and 2 rescue dogs whenever possible. He is also a retired triathlete and is a 2-time Ironman Triathlon finisher.

In this episode, Doug shares about his “scale of 10” in decision making, the power of networking and reflection, all with a sense of humour. While this interview sits within the “intellectual wellness” segment of our "6 dimensions of wellness" series, Doug shares many other nuggets of wisdom on how to thrive and not just survive. We know you will enjoy this chat.

Hi LLW community! We are on the home stretch with two more aspects of the 6 Dimensions of Wellness to share!

In this solo episode, Amy introduces the topic of intellectual wellness which is the focus on expanding and challenging our minds to learn new skills, solve problems and cultivate creativity.

Amy also shares some of the books, podcasts and brain training games the LLW community has been using to train their brains. A full list of the resources mentioned will be shared on this page soon 💛😉

Happy Monday LLW community!

We are loving the recent feedback from our latest episode - one of the things we did for the first time ever was edit our interview to keep it short and punchy.

It wasn’t perfect but it prompted us to start looking into ways in which we can improve your experience as a listener.

However with all passion projects, upgrading will require the backing our our community. So if you have enjoyed the podcast so far and would like to help us empower millennials to “THRIVE not just SURVIVE”, we’d love to invite you to invest in the future of the podcast by “buying us a coffee” i.e. a one-off financial donation so that we can pool funds together to:

1. Upgrade to a new broadcasting platform (while we have loved the free platform of Anchor, it has its limitations)

2. Outsource the editing of our podcast = improved sound quality and editing of episodes to free up our time to bring more value-adding content your way.

Our coffee-buyers will also get a shoutout on our podcast and social media channels too 😉 ☕️

So if you want to support us in our mission, see the “Buy me a coffee” link in the comments below 😊🙌🏻 Thank you in advance!

As Melbourne starts to open its doors again, it’s fitting that we are getting back into the groove of things too!

In Episode 16, we head back into our series on the 6 Dimensions of Wellness, Amy shares an interview she had with Elinor Moshe, about how she moved from trying to fit into the expectations of others when it came to her career to now thriving as "The Construction Coach", the podcast host of "Constructing You", author of "Constructing Your Career", a mentor and highly sought after speaker.

In this short and punchy episode, Amy and Elinor talk about the benefits of having having a mentor, the power of having a vision for your life, why we experience burnout and reframing failure.

Exciting times ahead!!

Happy Monday LLW fam!

We are back on the podcast waves today with a rather personal look at what we can learn from change and transition.

In this episode, Amy shares about what’s been going on in the background since our last episode, four lessons she has learnt navigating the tides of change and what changes are up ahead with the podcast as well! 😊

We hope you enjoy the episode and if you do, please rate us and leave a review on Apple Podcasts (if that’s where you listen) or consider buying us a coffee (listen to the episode to hear how 😉)

We were honoured to have Kirsten Jones aka The Body Stylist as our very first guest mentor on LIVE LIFE WELL: The Podcast back in Season 1 and we thought it would be great to have her back to share her expertise in staying fit no matter what season it is.

If you haven't listen to her interview yet, you can find it on the podcast in Episode 4. We look forward to having you in on this conversation this Friday at 10am AEST!

Almost 12 months ago, I found myself lying in bed in excruciating pain. I had been ignoring the signs of burn out the weeks before and finally my body said enough is enough. I crawled my way to the doctors and was told that an infection that had been incubating in my body for the last few weeks had spread to my kidneys. As I found myself on antibiotics and being forced to be still and not do anything, I realised the way I had been living was not sustainable.

If I wanted to go the distance, I had to make some changes. Providence would have it (thank the Lord 🙌🏻), I was scheduled to attend a leadership conference in Qld a few days after I’d started my course of antibiotics - it was there that I heard of the concept of the 6 Dimensions of Wellness (thank you Ruth Limkin from The Banyans Health and Wellness) and became convinced that in order to BURN BRIGHT and not BURN OUT, I needed to look after ALL OF ME.

One of the first things I did after the conference (or perhaps just before/during... the timeline is hazy!) was contact The Body Stylist and ask for help to look after my physical wellness. And the rest is history. The results speak for themselves. I’ve never moved this well or felt this well, ever.

It’s ok to ask for help.

I’m so glad I did and I’m so glad I can honour the woman who helped me get back on track today in our post-podcast-party chat right here on this page! Join us LIVE at 10AM TODAY 🤩 Link is in the bio 💛

With the recent announcement of the extension of lockdown restrictions (though modified) in Victoria, it can be very easy to feel unmotivated when it comes to your physical wellness (comfort eating anyone?).

However, here at LIVE LIFE WELL, we believe you can THRIVE in any season with the right tools and people around you cheering you on.

So we have invited our very first podcast guest, Kirsten Jones from the The Body Stylist to jump on with us LIVE on this page THIS FRIDAY at 10AM AEST to talk about:

1. Why we should take looking after our body seriously particularly during this season of lockdown
2. How looking after your body is so much more than just exercise (includes mindset and nutrition)
3. Some tips to get people started on taking their physical health serious (how to stay motivated during this season)
4. Any other questions that come up in the chat :)

Save the date and if you can't join us LIVE, you can catch the replay afterwards. We'll be setting up the link shortly so stay tuned and we look forward to joining with you in how we can LIVE LIFE WELL during lockdown :)

Good morning LLW community!

We hope you had a lovely weekend - we had a great chat last Friday with Natasha Margaritis in our Facebook podcast community group.

As with most of our POST PODCAST PARTY chats, covered some of what had been discussed in the podcast episode on occupational wellness and finding your purpose driven work but we also talked about new topics such as the power of storytelling.

Being the expert storyteller she is, Natasha also have some tips to our community on effective storytelling.

So while we at LLW are taking the next few weeks to regroup for some major changes happening on the back end side of thing, come join us in the community group to catch up on our chat with Natasha 😊

Request to join via the link in the comments below.

Good morning LLW fam!

It’s been a busy few days behind the scenes but our final episode before a short intermission just dropped yesterday - our host Amy has been doing some content creation for the social enterprise, for Dignity, and recently had the privilege of interviewing the founder of one of the maker brands, Basha.

Basha is an enterprise that brings hope for women who are recovering from or vulnerable to sexual exploitation in Bangladesh.

We hope you enjoy this interview that was first published on the for Dignity website: www.fordignity.com.au

Good evening everyone!

Thanks for your support in the last week since we started our new FB page (over 100 likes and counting!). We are also thankful that we've just hit over 1000 plays of the podcast across all platforms which is AMAZING!

As we are still a relatively new podcast, we'd love you to share us with your friends and family who might be interested in the topics we cover such as how to look after your physical, emotional, social, occupational, intellectual and spiritual wellness.

We also have a social justice stream that we've incorporated into our podcast schedule with our next one coming out tomorrow - stay tuned!

Hi everyone and thank you for joining us here on this page!

While Live Life Well: The Podcast (LLW) has been running since May this year, we’ve finally put our mark on Facebook to start this page 🤩

If you are new here, LLW was the brain child of Amy Nhan, a lawyer by day and a creative always, who went through a burn out in September 2019.

You can hear the full story in Episode 2 of LLW but long story short, it kick started her own holistic wellness journey which has culminated is the birth of LLW — podcast to empower her peers (the millennial generation) and others to THRIVE and not just SURVIVE so that they can live full of PURPOSE, JOY and DELIGHT.

Through sharing personal stories and interviews with special guests and mentors, you’ll get VIP access to lessons learnt through failing forward and join like-minded individuals on learning what it means to LIVE LIFE WELL.

We’ll be updating this page more soon so stay tuned for more purpose driven and inspiring content coming your way soon!

Thanks for joining us 💛
