Here we are folks - I've harped on about it long enough. i must still be talking too quickly into the mic because what felt like it took 3 days to write and compile was over in an hour and twenty minutes.

one way or another it's gonna be a canada special this friday on The OTHer Hours on The Crew Rock Radio - either the extended Canada Special with the full ausFunkt interview and a load of great Canadian Tunes, or The Alternative Atlas, with loads of great Canadian alternative music. We didn't want to upset anyone by choosing either the Maple Leaf or the Fleur-de-Lis, so we opted for the silly way out and the frozen k**b shaped iceberg that appeared off the canadian coastline last year.

canada's alternative atlas script finally complete, lemon and ginger tea on the go at work ready for tonight's mammoth recording session. i've got no idea what the final run time is going to be or whether the attempts at humour will be well recieved, but it should be up at some point overnight tonight.

based on the new format i'm definitely going to have to re-write the NZ one and completely reconfigure the australian one.

made some great discoveries music wise while putting it together too, on top of Double Eyelid, Shirley & The Pyramids, Bridgeland, Annie-Claude Deschênes, The Trade-Offs, a mourning death, and so much more.

now to await the disappointment when i find out that the reason half of the playlist don't have pages i can tag is that they've gone inactive.

how i limit my screen time at night. when i get home, i don't plug the laptop in. when the battery saver comes on, it's time to sleep. otherwise i end up til 4am writing radio scripts.

Also, theres a LOT of talking in this Alternative Atlas project for Oh the humanities around the 14 tracks included in it. not much info on the artists, but a fair bit about the different bits of Canada. im gonna have fun recording that one tomorrow night. a bit of a contrast to the Revolt Into Style : New Music for punks/new wavers companion programme, but a good bit of the music will be of interest.

the lost Australia episode of the Alternative Atlas will be turning up soon too.

on The Crew Rock Radio this Friday, another chance to hear the Canada day special and the ausFunkt interview in full.
