This is Davis Inzai, a student enrolled at Kapkerer Secondary School in Nandi South. For several years, Davis has been grappling with a growth on the right side of his face, causing him immense pain and discomfort. The swelling and distortion caused by this growth have occasionally forced him to miss school due to the excruciating discomfort it inflicts.
Coming from a modest background and being raised by a single mother, Davis and his family face financial hardships that make it challenging for them to afford the necessary medical treatment he urgently requires.
We are reaching out in the hopes of finding assistance for Davis's pressing medical needs. Any form of support, whether in the form of medical expertise or financial aid, would significantly impact his life. Let's stand in solidarity with Davis today, offering our support to ensure he receives the treatment required for him to resume his education and lead a life free from this hardship.

Save A Life visits Kiambu county, Maguguni, Ngoliba ward where we meet Samuel Musili. He's a Form Two student at Maguguni Secondary School. Musilu has been living with a skin disease since birth, the condition worsened and the skin formed like scales. His skin peels off, has large sores, painful and gets itchy all the time. He lives with his grandmother because his mother is out there fending for the other children.
Musili's grandmother tells us that his mother left him with her because she went out to do menial jobs to support the family. She tells us that his condition has been a great distress to the family. They cannot afford to pay for the medical expenses required. Even the skin ointment he applies daily is very expensive. She says her grandson is unable to eat sometimes because he gets stomach problems. He also can't go out in the sun and spends most of his days indoors when he's not at school. She says she's been advised by several people to visit witchdoctors so that her grandson can get help but she affirms that her belief is only in God. She says she does not have a land or farm of her own and where they are right now is a very mushy place. She says she works on other people's farms to earn a living. She is appealing to all of us to help her grandson Musili.
Musili says he was born that way, and that has been his way of life. He says he has faced very many challenges. At school whenever he queued maybe during assembly and for food, other pupils would run away from him. Whenever he walks along the paths and streets anywhere he gets stares and jitters and occasional laughs. He says the worst thing he remembers being told by a school mate is that he resembles an ape and he shouldn't talk. Musili also tells us that he's unable to eat certain foods because they upset his gut and stomach. He says other times he's just sitting down and his skin splits out for no reason and become open sores and wounds. Musili is hopeful that he can be healed when he gets prop
Save a life has 974 lives transformed, we are grateful to God for this far. God has been faithful. John Shikuku from Kiminini, Kitale, Trans Nzoia County. He has been sick for quite some time now.
John suffers from growths that have popped all over his skin. He has one big growth on his back which is very heavy and another one near his face which makes one eye sag. Due to his condition, John has suffered from stigma and no one wants to associate with him. People usually refuse to employ him because of his skin condition. It's been very hard for him to get a job, and when he does, it's only manual jobs where he gets less than 100 bob daily. John tells me that a few years ago he had been employed in a homestead as a shamba boy, where he worked for 7 years without being paid even a penny. The owner of that place threatened to kill him and his family if they didn't leave. John left with his family at night, and that day they slept on the road since they had no place to go.
Ruth, Johns' wife, says that she loves him and she is ready to support him. She says that John works very hard to provide food and school fees for the family.
This couple inspires me because, for better or worse, she will always love him. Ruth worries that this disease is affecting her son. The son has small growths similar to those of his father's.
John can't afford to get transport to go for a medical check up. He is from a poor family, and his father died in 2019. He was left with his mother, who is old and has nothing to support him.
"Afadhali nikuwe na afya njema na nikuwe maskini", John said these words to me and I was touched. I reflected on what John said to me, and I thank God for the gift of good health.
Please let us support John Shikuku with whatever little God has given you and blessings will follow. The bible says it's better to give than to receive.
