Our Yankee Candle Fundraiser is in its 1st week. We hope all families are supporting this endeavor!!! In addition to the cool prizes Yankee offers, each student who sells at least $25 in product will receive a dress down day and be invited to a popcorn movie afternoon. All orders are due by Oct. 4th so check out and share the brochure. There is more than just candles being offer for purchase 😀

Our Pretty Pearls Female Mentoring Program went to The Pitman Theater today to see "Beauty and the Beast". We then went to the Fireside Restaurant in Sewell for lunch. The young ladies had a wonderful time.

The inclement weather forced us the cancel our morning reading session, but the Women's Club's presence was still felt. They donated books to our school as they do every year and we truly appreciate them and our partnership 😊 The afternoon reading sit-in session did take place with a couple of special guests 😊

The PTO's annual t-shirt sale is underway. The shirts will be blue this year. Students should have brought order forms home for you to view. We have long and short sleeve shirts and they can be worn on gym days. Short sleeve shirts are $10 up to Adult XL...an addition $2 for XXL and $3 for ###L. $15 for long sleeve of any size. All forms are due by Dec. 21st and shirts. Shirts will be delivered after the New Year. Check out our new design compliments of our very own Mr. Joseph Hill

We had an awesome afternoon today...students had the opportunity to participate in a Trunk or Treat 😁 A special thanks to all the parents and teachers who donated candy and to the awesome teachers who decorated the cars!!! Thanks to Mrs. Buff for providing a cool art project for those students who didn't partake. Lastly a big thanks to Mr. Baynes for allowing this event to take place. A great time was had by all 😁 As A TEAM....We Win!!!! check out the pics

*Individual Student Picture Day is Oct. 12th......students can dress down that day and order forms will be sent home in the near future
*Twisted First Friday Pretzel orders are due by this Wednesday.....$1 each pretzel.....up to 3 pretzels can be ordered
*Yankee Candle orders are due this Friday....feel free to order on line or share online info. w/family and friends....especially those living out of town!!!
*The Harlem Wizards are coming back to Penns Grove on November 7th for a fun filled basketball game against district teachers and staff.....we had a cool assembly today with a visit from DP, a Wizards player 😀 look for fliers with game info. in your child's bookbag

Good evening families I have two announcements for you this evening.

First, we will be having our 1st PTO meeting next Thursday, September 27th in our school cafeteria @ 6pm..... We are still in need of officers so!!! If you are not interested in being an officer please still take a few minutes to see what Carleton's PTO is all about....we do GREAT work of our students.

The weather was perfect for our DARE graduation at the middle school field today. Three students were selected to read their DARE essay.....each student received their certificate of completion, a draw string backpack, and a DARE shirt. After the graduation, students were treated the donuts and juice Thanks to officer Mayhew and Fucci for another awesome year!!!

The kids had an awesome time during our Carleton ROCK the PARCC in the Park Celebration :-) They had a DJ, a photo booth, Philly's soft pretzels, ice cream sandwiches and a whole lot of FUN!!!!

This is a very busy time @ Carleton School. Last week 4th and 5th grade students participated in our annual spelling bee (thanks to those parents who attended) This up coming week we will have a PARCC celebration in Dunns Park tomorrow from 11-2:15 (all staff and students are asked to wear their PARC t-shirts and to bring their lunch if they didn't order a school lunch. Also bring a towel or blanket to sit on), tomorrow and Wednesday 5th grade students will be heading over to the middle school @ 9:30 for their 6th grade orientation (parents are invited to join students at the middle school---please check with your child to see which day they will be attending), and Friday is the PTO's sponsored 6th Annual Dance-A-Thon (students needed to raise a minimum of $10 to participate----an extention was granted to turn in their $ to Tuesday)......stay tuned for next week's updates and pictures :-)

Our Spring Concert is tomorrow at Penns Grove High School. I am super excited to give you a preview of the items the PTO will be raffling along with a 50/50 raffle.
*There's a Gatorade cooler loading with summer goodies including a Rita's Water Ice gift card
*There's a movie bundle that includes a $50 AMC gift card
*There's a fun in the sun package perfect for kids and adults alike
* There's a basket with awesome candles & scents

All items were graciously donated my Carleton's outstanding staff with the exception of the Lapp's and DiPoalo's donated gift card/certificate.

Tickets are 1 for $1 or 13 for $5.......we'll see yall tomorrow evening at the concert :-)

Hello Carleton Families....yesterday the PARCC PREP COMMITTEE hosted a pep rally to get the students motivated and geared up for the start of the PARC test.....all students received their PARCC T-shirt that they are allowed to wear on the days they test with comfy sweats......A smoke machine set the mood for students entrance.......The PG Red Devil paid us a visit.......We had Penns Grove's very own Nick Elmer speak to the students.......students enjoys fun games and raffles.....our choir treated us to two PARCC themed selects.....WE HAD AN AWESOME AFTERNOON!!!!

To all those families who participated in the Gertrude Hawk Fundraiser......I got another call from the company today stating the trucking company will no be able to deliver our items until Monday, March 26th. Therefore pick-up will now be Tuesday March 27th from 3:30-6:00pm.......items will also be sent home with students on Tuesday if permission was given .........THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING!!!!!!! Please spread the word....a connect message will also be sent on Friday once we get back to school
