I was an inner city youth, came from humble beginnings
In the project buildings, on the hunt for my vision
Knew the risk & reward, chucking rocks at the prison
Eyes focused on the prize of a comfortable living
Lost several of my n!ggaz, cause the streets ain’t a scrimmage
So I just play it to win it with the hand I was given
I had a hard knock one shot, piece of a privilege
But anything worth having, you best go out and get it
& on my life, I’m gone strive for my fam to survive
Mind focused on the grind, pride slammed to the side
Trying not to collide, while my yacht is on the glide
Cause these oceans filled with sharks and they eat n!ggaz alive
My veins filled with ice water, product of a cold world
Dealing with the will make a n!gga toes curl
& old girl, I thought was gone ride till the afterlife
Straight flipped on me spaced out like a satellite
The struggle is real, like my kids growing appetite
So whether I’m a choir boy or living in the savage life
I place my own wagers, and roll my own pack of dice
By any means necessary I will make that sacrifice
