A concept album in the form of a soundtrack for a surrealistic animated film, Otrembu Eio's third studio album marks an evolution to a futuristic sound pallete with matured production and all the eclectic textures we've come to expect from the experimental artist. This city... have we been here before? I remember living here a long time ago. A mere flash in my memories, but it’s all here like I remember it to be.

How did you come to be? Exist here, of all places. You make me remember something that hasn’t happened yet. Is this what the future is like? Is it only you?

As we walk, a certain feeling replaces my energy. What? Where are you? Where am I? You can really get lost in a place like this. That feeling is in the wind, so empty, so still, so incomplete. I can look down and see the ground in the deep. There is no shadow in a city like this. Such a dangerous place that doesn’t care. Yet, the sunset is lovely.

The Flying Pharmacy: a cube-shaped aircraft that wanders through the world, giving weird trinkets away to curious people. It’s not my dream, but the old pilot’s. He’s an idealist of sorts, ready to fight for his own little world at any time. Or at least that’s what he says.

My vision is blurring into indistinguishable shapes, and even though it’s so quiet, I can’t hear your voice. Somehow, I know you’re still there, but for how long? Will you get lost as I did? This truly feels like a nightmare, no, a weird dream from somewhere else.

Still, we’re only here for work...

Rarely is anything new– everything in this world builds upon ruins and lessons of the past; as the unreliable collective memory of society innovates by cryptomnesia, patterns of unbreakable constants emerge through time yet never show themselves to common humans; it is up to someone, something else –an outsider– to catalog and communicate these to whatever lucid ears may hear. In early 2017, Lucid Trax proudly introduced to the world an experimental act named Acid Fader, through their debut release "Have You Seen This Place?". True to its ideals, HYSTP is a highly introspective piece, a subliminal report of forgotten landscapes and locations; culled, recovered, and backed up to digital tape from the neural systems of decaying lifeforms; removed scenes now collected, decontextualized, and presented in an intangible museum. Through and , Acid Fader shows a lot more promise than one might think for a band that came out of nowhere, taking current and older sounds, twisting them into unrecognizable forms, revealing what may be one of the most original worldviews in 2017. Will *you* take the Acid?

Otrembu Eio's 10-minute public debut release "Atomiswave" broke the Internet and brought Lucid Trax into the limelight last year, surpassing all expected critical and commercial success with its brilliant teenage hardcore electronic pop punk sound where anxious DnB beats and screaming rave synths take the place of drums and guitars, point-blank seizing any listener's attention from minute zero, in just six of the catchiest, deadliest, most densely-packed –no track clocks longer than 02:17– genre-defying compositions ever devised by humans. The aesthetic is controversial, the sound is insane, and the whole planet is listening to it. We only wish it weren't so short.

The album that Lucid Trax was originally founded for. The debut collaboration between Otrembu Eio and Polygon Kid is a concept album of sorts, a neon-colored journey across idealized outer space through a mix of , , and French House filtered through nostalgic aesthetics. A dark, hard-to-walk-through teenage bedroom with disco lights filled with artifacts. A virtual reality tour through a glow-in-the-dark fantasy forest. A reel-to-reel spaceship jumpdriving through the teal-blue universe. This is Astropunk and it's a pretty damn good record.
