Awaiting the Final Ratification by the Deputy President, the Governor of Meru and the County Assembly have met this afternoon and agreed to work with the governor to move meru forward.

All parties have agreed to work with respect and mutual understanding.

From the Governor:
✅️Ksh. 10 Million Ward ward fund (Set by previous regime) for this financial year to be utilised immediately.
✅️Ward Fund Amount for subsequent years to be agreed upon during the conclusion of the ongoing talks. MCAs requested 30M, Governor is sticking with 10M.
✅️ MCAs to re-advertise bursaries and appoint committees.
✅️Protocol in Governors meetings to be followed.
✅️Monthly meetings between governor and MCAs to review county progress.
✅️Ksh. 50 Million Affirmative Action Fund

MCAs:
✅️ To pass supplementary budget
✅️To Pass CECs, COs, Members of Boards
✅️The Igoji Land tussle to be sorted by the Assembly Land Committee

KIHARU MASOMO BORA PROGRAMME: We have today rolled out KIHARU MASOMO BORA programme and reduced Fees to Ksh 1,000 per term in all our 60 Day Secondary Schools covering about 14,000 learners.

1. Through the Programme supported by Kiharu NG - CDF, we have reduced Fees for all the Day Schools to Ksh 1,000 per term. It also covers Day Scholars in Mixed Day and Boarding Secondary Schools.

2. Kiharu NG - CDF has allocated Ksh 60M this Financial year for infrastructural development and to revamp the existing infrastructure in our Day Schools.

3. We have also allocated Ksh 10M for Revision materials targeting our Day Secondary Schools.

4. The Programme also includes a feeding Programme for all learners. All will take 10 O'clock tea/Uji. All will also take lunch in School.

5. We have changed the menu for lunch to 3 days Rice and 3 days Githeri per week.

6. We introduced meals for Saturday. Tea/Uji at 10 O'clock and Lunch. This is to make learners engaged and optimise on time.

7. The Programme will cover everyone who gets a placement in our Day Schools. Any Kenyan who enrolls in any of our Day School in eligible.

We have been working on the programme for the last 4 Months and it's quite encouraging to behold the outcome.
