✨ The truth is, I’m human too — I feel, I grow, I struggle, and I learn, just like everyone else 🙂
People often have assumptions about what it’s like to be a therapist.
Here are a few of the most common ones I hear:
✨️ That I’m constantly psychoanalyzing everyone I meet - I'm not!
✨️ That I never feel anxious or overwhelmed - Oh, I do!
✨️ That I have everything together and know all the answers - I really don't!
✨️That therapists don’t need therapy - We do!
Therapists are not perfect; we care deeply about helping others navigate life’s challenges with compassion, curiosity, and courage. Most of us have first hand experience of what you may be going through.
As both a CBT Therapist and Journaling Therapist, I believe the most healing thing we can do for ourselves and others is to stay real, honest, and human ❤️
