ArteFacts

Welcome all,

We are Artefacts, a team of MA Journalism students passionate about investigating the social and financial climate facing aspiring artists in Britain’s capital.

We - Oliver Duggan, Henry Kirby, Emily Kent-Smith, Lydia Symonds and Immi Blake - have set up a blog to report on the changes to opportunities available for emerging artists.

In so doing we will investigate the Arts Council, local government, galleries, and all associated bodies, and provide a forum for discussion. We will regularly profile everyone involved in the scene; from aspiring artists hunting for their first sale to public officials charged with allocating a shrinking budget. We will feature newly opened shows, changes in legislation, and offer advice on how to exist within that rapidly evolving landscape.

To do this authoritatively we need your help.
