China Unicom Launches Gigabit LTE Network With Ericsson’s Help

China Unicom has launched Gigabit LTE network to enable its subscribers to enjoy services requiring high speed mobile broadband network. The Chinese service provider is working with Ericsson for this initiative. "This remarkable achievement will fulfill our strategy to offer the most advanced services to individuals and enterprises on the China Unicom network. Verizon Records 1Gbps Download Speed In A Lab Trial With Ericsson and Qualcomm

Verizon, along with vendors, Ericsson and Qualcomm, claims to have recorded speed of 1.07Gbps download speed during a lab trial. The service provider used the carrier aggregation technology to combine three 20Mhz carriers of FDD spectrum to achieve enhanced spectral efficiency leading to an increase in download speed. Verizon’s McAdam Investigates Presence Of A Man Wearing `Company Gear’ At Charlottesville Rally

Verizon has launched an internal investigation to find out the truth about a participant, wearing the company gear, in last weekend's supremacist rally in Charlottesville. New Zealand’s Spark Revenue Grows By 17%; To Focus On Digitization

New Zealand's Spark reported an increase of 13% in net profit for the financial year ending June 2017. The net profit touched $305.7 million with revenue increasing by 3.3%. Mobile revenue grew 5.6% because of 4.1% rise in service revenue and 4.3% increase in the number of connections. Justine Smyth To Take Over Chairman of New Zealand’s Spark

China Mobile continued its 4G growth in the first half of 2017 by taking the total number of 4G base stations to 1.65 million, making it the world's largest TD-LTE network in the world.
