We are deeply saddened and devastated to share that Cam Clark has passed away. He had been an integral part of Open Sign for 14 years. He was a director, writer, actor, producer, and dear friend. He starred as the villain in our early short MISSING, directed and wrote our feature The Stray, co-wrote our feature Phantom of the Woods, wrote and starred in our feature and comedy series Made Guys, directed an episode and served as acting coach on Disconnected, directed and wrote multiple shorts (including 3, Pincher, Chess, Low Battery, and Death of a Salesman), and contributed heavily on our upcoming features Schism and From Darkness and several other as yet to be released projects. His influence is present in virtually every project we’ve made since he started working with us. He was a true filmmaker and had an energy and passion that was unmatched. Beyond his work he was also a close friend to all of us and we all loved him like a brother and considered him family. His loss is felt deeply, and while we’ll continue filmmaking and pushing forward his presence on set will forever be missed.

We are very saddened to learn that long time actor Richard D Hackel has passed away. He had roles in our movies Phantom of the Woods, The Stray, Schism, and in our Phobia series. He was a professional, was always pleasant to work with, and an excellent actor. Our hearts go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.

We have learned that Michael Ward who played a starring role in our short Devil's Turkey has passed away. He was very fun to work with on set and did a fabulous job. Its still one of our favorite shorts we've made and Mike's performance is very memorable and always a treat to watch. Best wishes to his friends and family from all of us here at OSE.
