Another Sad passing....

The music world is mourning the loss of one of their own. Dave Loggins best known for his hit song, “Please Come To Boston”, has died - this according to the publication, ‘The Tennessean’.

In 1974, his signature song, “Please Come To Boston”, climbed to #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Adult Contemporary Chart. While Loggins found success as a singer, it was his five decade career as a songwriter which allowed him to collaborate with some of the most celebrated artists of our time including; Three Dog Night, Joan Baez, Toby Keith, Wynonna, Lee Greenwood, Smokey Robinson, Reba McEntire, Willie Nelson and Tanya Tucker, among others. Loggins also penned the theme song for the Augusta Masters Golf Tournament.

Among his accolades; a Grammy nomination, an induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and a CMA Award for his collaboration with Anne Murray on the ballad, “Nobody Loves Me Like You Do”. The song also soared to #1, on the Country Chart.

Loggins, who was a second cousin of fellow musician, Kenny Loggins, is survived by his three sons, as well as a grandson. He was 76, at the time of his passing. Loggins’ memory will live on through his music.

It is with a broken and heavy heart that I share the news that Malcolm Holcombe passed away today from repiratory failure. He has been in a great deal of pain for a long time, and his spirit is now free from all that and he is singing with the angels. Malcolm loved all of you so very much and was so grateful to have such loving and devoted family, friends and fans. Please keep me in your thoughts as I try to navigate life without my true love of the last 22 years. And thank you again for sticking with us through thick and thin. Love & blessings to all of you.
