🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨The countdown to extinction is near! It was just announced that your last day to experience Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom will be Feb 1st, 2026! Restaurant-o-saurus will also have its last operating day on Feb 1st and come Feb 2, both of these original opening day experiences will be extinct! These closures are to make way for Tropical Americas which is still set to open in 2027. The new land takes us into the town of Pueblo Esperanza and when it opens, Restaurant-o-saurus will be rethemed to a new dining location, Dinosaur will be transformed into an Indiana Jones ride with a unique story to fit the new land, the Boneyard is being replaced with a carousel and there will be a brand new Encanto ride!

🚨❄️Attention Frozen fans! Today at Destination D23 it was also announced that World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris will open in Spring of 2026. Arendelle will come right to life with the Frozen Ever After dark ride, character meet and greets as well as dining and shopping. The opening of World of Frozen will also mark the official designation of Walt Disney Studios Park’s transformation into “Disney Adventure World.” Over the past couple years the park has already been seeing changes with even more rides and attractions to come!

🚨BREAKING🚨 It was just announced that Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom will receive a brand new color pallet reflecting the original colors the castle opened with in 1971. Disney says “The updated paint will feature grays, creams, blues, and touches of gold aiming to enhance the castle’s architecture.” Near the middle of 2020, Cinderella Castle was painted rose pink with navy blue turrets and gold accents in preparation for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration in 2021. Cinderella Castle is one of the most recognizable theme park landmarks and having it return to the iconic classic colors is a very welcome change!

🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨 It was just announced at Destination D23 that a Walt Disney Animatronic will be added to Carousel of Progress at Magic Kingdom. Walt Disney will introduce the attraction in the pre scene before Act 1 wearing the same outfit he wore in the 1964 World’s Fair TV Special. There was no timeline given but the entire attraction will be receiving updates when it closes for refurbishment. The Disney Parks blog said “the heart of it will stay the same while introducing the Carousel of Progress to an entirely new generation of fans, showing them that a great big, beautiful tomorrow is just a dream away.” It’s a long time coming for Carousel of Progress to be receiving these updates! Who’s excited?!
