some favorite stops on abbot kinney blvd:
*located in venice beach, ca*

1) lunch @ The Butcher's Daughter - Venice (the spicy kale caesar salad paired with orange wine

2) Cha Cha Matcha for the pink drink, of course (this was my bribe knowing we had some shopping/walking to do)

3) the Beis hotel pop up. this was the reason for our visit - i had to get a gift for my mom. the added hand painted personalization made it extra special.

4) exploring all of the incredible storefronts. the Goodr store was a huge hit. "im queen of the world!"

i love sharing new products with my girlfriends so im going to start doing that here too. i get so annoyed with all the internet people blindly pushing product for $. so my goal is only to showcase items that i’ve actually used + loved. 💖

my first bottle of Discreet AF Dry Shampoo by is done & i’m off to repurchase.

here’s why:

- it performs! it’s like a luxurious, instant refresh. great for hair day 1 - day 3. i even used it right after a blow out for an instant boost in texture and volume.

- the formula isn’t chalky or sticky. and no white cast on my brown hair.

- the scent is unreal. i would describe as bright citrus with woodsy undertones: sexy, and playful. (if you are sensitive to fragrance: this is something to note.)

- obviously a visually stunning, fun bottle

- price point is on point 😉: $16

- easily accessible: available @ ulta

what it is not:

- if you’re super oily, or a girly that washes her hair 1/week and maybe needs something more intensive. this is not it. if i’m beyond day 3 without washing (i get oily), i’m going to use my Dry Bar Detox Dry Shampoo.

🩷 if you’ve tried this - let me know what you think! tbh i wasn’t sold at first. but it totally grew on me and became something i look forward to.

took me a minute to jump on the bandwagon but now im fully drinking the koolaid 🖤 had to purchase another pair.

a cool, stylish summer sneaker that will elevate a classic tshirt & jeans. and you’ve probably been hearing everyone talk about sambas right now but the gazelles are the real unsung hero.

if you’re wondering what the difference is (i had to google lol) - it’s mainly the finish of the shoe. samba: leather. gazelle: suede. both come in gum sole options. but the gazelles are available in more colors.

i could go on & on about how special this place is… the atmosphere, the top notch amenities, the delicious cocktails, but honestly it was really about the service for us. from check-in to check-out, the staff was on top of it. so much so, that they knew what we wanted/needed before we even had to ask. will definitely be back!

Hi guys 👋🏼 Thought it made sense to re-intro myself in case you are new here… I’m Lindsey and these are my people: Chris, Princess Fawn (4), and Bernie (our dog).

You're probably like WTF is going on with this pic 🤪 but I chose to share this one because it's real life which makes it extra special. It truly encapsulates us all perfectly: we love to have fun wherever we go, we don’t take ourselves too seriously, and we do life our way. **Disclaimer tho (on behalf of Chris): he does have way more style than depicted lol I can’t do him dirty like that 💋

I started this secondary account to create the kind of mom content that I wanted but couldn't find. Everything that I saw portrayed an image of perfection that didn't feel real. My hope is that I can add value to your life, even in some small way.

no one talks about this 🙃 it’s worth noting that my daughter, Fawn, goes to a play-based preschool. it’s always a surprise as to what kind of shape she’s in at pick up time. sometimes it’s mud. or blue paint everywhere (including face & hair). but I’ve learned over time to roll with the punches and pivot in my approach to shopping for school.

i hope these tips can save you time, $, and heartache 💚 if you have a preschooler, is this your experience too? feel free to share any tips/tricks of your own in the comments.
