Today is Brazil’s Indigenous People’s Day.
Ever since the first colonizers stepped onto their land, indigenous peoples have had to endure unimaginable suffering, countless massacres, assassinations and land grabs, retreating deeper and deeper into the forest to protect themselves from the invaders. Today, their fight for their land, culture and survival continues.
In this precarious world of ours, where our governments choose profit over preservation, industry over nature, and money over justice, it’s up to us to make a difference. Let us not do nothing.
