This was the most heartbreaking documentary I have watched. I cried watching it several times. It terrifies me as a mother to think I could take one of the kids to the hospital for care and be forced to leave without my child. I have also been (and still am), like Maya, on the frustrating end of wishing someone would believe me in reference to the daily pain I've experienced. I've had four surgeries and none of them have helped my pain. When Maya said in the documentary, "I just wish people would believe me" that hit me to my core.
I know no amount of money will bring this girl's mother back or begin to help the trauma she has endured, but I am extremely happy that they won this case!
