100 years old, a beautiful typeface. Originally drawn by Edward Johnson for use on the Underground, it's also a core part of the branding of the Mayor of London.
The Met's new logo has been harshly criticised on the web. Designed by, you guessed it, Wolff Olins at great expense no doubt. I know, I know I'm a designer and I should appreciate this 'study in technique and fusion' the way the 'letters seamlessly flow from one to the next' and the clever way it makes 'a bigger statement on the Met’s history.'

Spot the difference? A subtle but distinctive change to the Facebook logo. The first typeface change since 2004. I much prefer the clean look of the new version, using the iconic font Klavika.

This is the first fully painted feature film in the world, directed by Polish painter and director Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman (Oscar winner for producing "Peter and the Wolf"). The film is produced by Oscar-winning Studios Breakthru Films and Trademark Films.
