Kawandi quilts, lavorazione tipica creata da donne Siddi, popolazione africana che vive in India, da secoli, ai margini della società. Interessante vedere come, in ogni parte del mondo, le donne si uniscono in gruppi per lavorare insieme creando una particolare lavorazione ben riconoscibile.

Kawandi Workshop Alert!

It has been five long months since I offered an online Kawandi workshop. You must wonder what I have been up to. These five month included a visit to India ( I got to visit my mom), Canada (twice), Sisters, OR and the wedding of my son. Yes, I have been extremely busy. In fact, as I write this I am thinking of what to pack for my trip to Rochester for GVQG presentation and workshops.

The link for Kawandi workshop is in my profile. Thanks so much to all of you who have patiently waited while I was running around all over. Thank you all who took the time to comment on our most joyful event of the year. Life is good and I am grateful for that.
