Happy Valentine’s Day! I love how much joy this day brings, even with the smallest sweet gestures 🥰 We gave out love hearts sweets at school pickup today, and all of the kids were so excited to read the little messages, it was adorable!😍 Any excuse to spread a little love 🥰❤️

If I’m completely honest with myself, there were many moments where I regretted shaving my head. A lot of these happened while my husband was cutting it! But I’m glad I recorded the process, because looking back I don’t know why I was so scared. I love the freedom it’s given me, and my hair is so much happier now! Does anyone really enjoy cleaning? 🧽 I think I used to, until I found myself with more people to clean up after! I’d heard about the Koh cleaning system over a year ago, and I really wanted to try it. It’s made cleaning so much easier, and less of a chore. Happy Friday Lovelies! ♡ I’m so ready for the weekend now, it feels like it’s been a long week. Once again, my brain is trying to act on so many new ideas at once, so I can’t wait to switch off this weekend and enjoy some time with my girls. What are you up to this weekend? Celebrating a birthday this weekend? Each time I have a reason to celebrate, I like to focus on a specific theme. This is usually easy for my girls, since there are so many of their favourite tv shows and films to choose from, but finding a theme for my husband’s birthday is usually a challenge. This is the Brooklyn Nine-Nine birthday theme I did for him last year, and I had so much fun getting all the elements together! Happy Wednesday Lovelies! ♡ It’s taken a little while but I’ve finally posted a progress video of my roller skating! I started roller skating this Summer, after becoming very jealous of all the amazing roller skaters on TikTok. I toyed with the idea of buying skates for about a month, and then went for it! But it was incredibly scary, and a lot more expensive than I anticipated, and I don’t even have a helmet yet! (Please get a helmet if you’re skating, be safe!) ♡ A little update for you Lovelies! So, in addition to having a very busy week with our eldest starting school, I found myself starting a new business too! 😄 It started with a simple idea: photos of the first day of school. And from there I realised I wanted to do someting special for my daughter. But then I started to think about her friends, and the fact that I wanted to do something special for them too. After a bit of searching and shopping, I still hadn’t found what I wanted. So I thought, why not make it myself? It took many days of fiddling and re-designing and a LOT of printing, but I’m proud of what I managed to achieve in just a few days, especially with a very active 2 year old keeping me on my toes! (Anyone else trying to work from home with a toddler around? Well done you!) I’m hoping to sell more physical products soon, and I have lots of ideas to work on, but in the meantime if you’d like to download any of the items currently for sale, you can get 10% off in my new Etsy shop, with the code INSTA ☺️

♡ Hi Lovelies! I wanted to give this little guy a bit of praise today. Paddy is our Jack Russell Terrier, and he’s 7 years old now. He’s always been a little mischief maker, and when we had our first daughter we were worried that he had become jealous, especially with all the attention we’d given him up until that point. Fast forward to now, and he has 2 little girls to contend with! But he absolutely adores them, and we are so grateful for him. While he may have some pretty disgusting habits, there’s no dog like him. He’s been especially good this week, so I just wanted to show him off a bit, because I’m so proud. Although, I’ll admit, he could probably do with a trim now…

♡ Hello Lovelies, and wow what a week we’ve had! Our eldest started school last Friday, and this has been her first (almost) full week. We’ve taken it one day at a time, often making mistakes but also learning from them. For example, the plan to label everything one day at a time seemed a great idea last week, but I don’t think our iron has ever seen this much action! 😂 We’ve been easing into a new routine, managing what school uniform we have left to use (did we buy enough??), and all while being so proud of our little girl, who’s taken to school so well. Although I’ve not cried, I’ve had a sad moment or two when it really sinks in. But our youngest has definitely struggled this week, and I was so caught up in the preparations, I didn’t even stop to think how this would affect her. Though she spent the first day thoroughly enjoying having Mummy and Daddy to herself, (and also full control of the toys and tv), by the fourth day, she was desperate to go with her big sister. She’s getting used to the routine now, and she always has a big smile and a hug waiting for when school’s finished. I’m enjoying this time too, getting to know her a little better each day. To everyone finishing their first week of school, I hope you’ve had a good one, and I hope you’re all safe and well ♡ Emma
