Environmental charity WWF UK has released a series of stunning picture-knit patterns and is calling on crafters and nature fans to ‘knit for nature’.

The patterns, for sweaters, vests, bags and hats, feature unique tiger and penguin motifs are knitted in British wools from West Yorkshire Spinners and are free to download, with the option to donate. They are based on vintage wildlife-themed knits created for WWF in 1989, reimagined by fashion knitwear designer Ruth Herring.
