Knitting issue 264 is on sale!

Quick & cosy: we’ve got a fabulous collection of new and original knitting designs for you, based around the theme ‘quick and cosy’ – including a gorgeous blanket by star designer Melissa Leapman .leapman.

We are waiting with bated breath for ’s new knitting show to go on air in November. The Game of Wool () is the first knitting competition to be broadcast and promises to be a yarny treat. Presented by and judged by designers and yarn producers Di Gilpin () and Sheila Greenwell, the show aims to put knitting on the map and challenge stereotypes that might put people off this amazing craft. There’s a look behind the scenes to whet your appetite.

We’re also taking on preconceived ideas about knitting – like the idea that it’s only for unglamorous grannies – as we collaborate with fashion influencer Astrid Zeegen ().

So if you’re getting started on your festive gift knitting, searching out something to keep you warm over the winter or just looking for a project for this weekend, we’ve got you covered.
