I’m an introverted extrovert and quite honestly l’d be happy locked in my house every single day. But being their mother has made me stretch in ways I never thought possible. No one else is going to give your kids experiences. No one else is going to love and care for them like you do. No one else is going to worry like you do about what their life feels like to them. And honestly, it’s the best job. I get to force myself out of my comfort zone to appease my sweet babies. I get to experience childhood all over again with them. Anxiety is a mother.. I feel you all out there that struggle. It’s been a long time since I felt that way and OOF. I’m thankful I have found things that work for me both medically and naturally. One of Thea’s favorite things to do is to take my phone and do snapchats of herself with filters. She doesn’t send them to anyone. She just quietly saves THEM ALL to my phone and I have no idea until I happen to scroll through my photo app. I was chuckling at work tonight watching her latest batch. I used to get cold sores a few times a year ever since I was a kid. For some reason, after I had my first baby, They pretty much stopped. I have probably had 2 prior to this one, in a total of 9 years. What used to take at LEAST a week to run its course (even with the prescribed medications and creams), was now gone in less than 48 hours. When you work nights and your partner works days and you haven’t spent alone time together in who knows how long and he asks you if you want to go on a haul with him and your in-laws have your kids, you say yes. It doesn’t matter what we do. We have never been the fancy get away or expensive dinner people. And we never will be. While it looks like one thing, the inner dialogue sounds a little like this... Swimsuit.. I need to sign the boys up for swim lessons, when is registration again? This is a size 3T.. I need to weed out the clothes from too small. Oh crap I need to rotate out summer and winter clothes. Thea needs to wear a soccer shirt on Wednesday. These don’t fit me great but l don’t have the energy to get new jeans and spend time trying things on. Kody’s socks are getting holey - does he have enough or should I order more? When was the last time I ran the washer cleaner. I need to vacuum out the dryer vent. Picture day is when? Did I put that on the calendar? Laundry isn’t just laundry.
