A 65-year-old retired police officer, Mark Oluwasusi, has been called out for allegedly k#lling his landlady’s son in Matogun, Ogun State.
According to the sister of the deceased, the tragic incident happened on Thursday, August 24, 2033. She said, “This isn’t the first time that this man has been giving us issues or thr£at£ning our lives. He rented our apartment a year ago under the guise that he’s a retired police officer. My mom accepted him seeing that he’s from the same state as hers, Ekiti State.
Later on, my mom got to find out that he meddling into diabolical things and she asked him to leave the apartment once his rent was due — which was April, 2023. Ever since he was given the quit notice, he has refused to leave but instead he actively and frequently thr£at£n our lives.

Police operatives have arrested a female student of Gombe State University (GSU) for allegedly thr%wing a day-old baby from a three-storey building.
It was gathered that the unfortunate incident occurred at the girls’ hostel on Saturday morning, September 9, 2023.
According to reports, the yet-to-be-identified student decided to end it all for the child immediately after she put to birth.
The baby was found near Hall IV of the female hostels by passerby who raised the alarm only to discover that the baby was already d€@d as a result of an inj¥ry sustained in the right leg.
An eyewitness told newsmen that the mother of the baby has been hiding the pregnancy in her hijab gown for months to prevent her from being noticed.

Mustapha Abubakar of Cell 6, Unit 1, Cluster 2 at the Maiduguri Maximum Security Custodial Centre in Borno State, made the appeal in a video obtained by SaharaReporters.
Abubakar was sentenced to d£ath by h@nging at age 14 after he was reportedly l¥red into a get-rich-quick scheme through kidn@pping for ransom that led to the d£ath of the ho§tage.

A seminarian, Naam Stephen Ngofe Danlami, has been k#lled in an att@ck by bandits at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Fadan Kamantan, Zangon Kataf LGA of Kaduna State.
It was gathered that the bandits stormed the parish house at about 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, and s£t it abl@ze alongside a vehicle.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the deceased seminarian di£d from the smoke he inhaled while trying to escape from the grasp of the att@ckers.
The Acting Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, ASP Mansir Alhassan, confirmed the incident in a statement.

No ca§ualty as aircraft overshoots runway at Lagos Airport.
Tragedy was averted on Friday night, September 8, when a United Nigeria Airlines aircraft overshot runway at the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA), Lagos.
It was gathered that the aircraft was returning from Owerri, Imo State when it skidded off runway 18R by 200 meters amidst downpour.
The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau in a statement on Saturday morning, September 9, said it has commenced an investigation into the incident involving the Embraer ERJ145 with registration number 5N-BWY.
The Bureau noted that the incident, which occurred around 06:33 p.m., had 51 passengers and four crew members onboard.
“The aircraft which was coming in from the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport Owerri operated and landed normally but skidded off the runway upon landing.
All Passengers have also been safely evacuated alongside with their luggage. No passenger was hurt in the incident,” the statement said.
