With a heavy heart, it's time to say that Flatpack as a label is over.
The label turned 5 years old yesterday, and with real life commitments becoming a burden, not enough time can be devoted to this project.
I've had the honour of working with some incredible bands, Apollo's Arrows, Polio, Bad Grammar, North Bay & Bloody Mammals. All of whom's releases I am immensely proud of. We blagged our way onto the Bestival bill, DJ'd at Glastonbury & hosted a stage at SOUTHSEA FEST for 3 years and toured the UK together.
Want to give a shout out to Aaron Dawkins, who, was involved with every release in some aspect big or small, his design work was vital in the label's success. Thanks also to Carl Young who ran a host of events and brought the label to life on many occasions.
I'm going to put out a compilation of "Greatest Hits" soon for free, so stay tuned for that.
For a label that started out as a reason not to do a dissertation at university, it did good.
Thanks for a good run!
