The last art competition of Linthoingambi Hijam - Stamp design Competition on " AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV ". She was studying XII at TG Higher Secondary School when she participated the competition.

Terakhongsangbi under Bishenpur District came under attack by armed Kuki Miscreants. Sniper shots, mortar bomb rained the village. The Armed Kuki miscreants took the advantage of firing from a hilltop towards the village.

Many people have fled their home. All the kids are shifted to neighbouring villages. Many are taking shelter at Relief camps.

Security force along with villager defence force had to put up resistance. Situation is bit better as exchange of fire had stop by the time of posting this testimonial story. But people have not return to their home and security persons are still deployed in the area.

In the intervening night of August 4 and August 5, armed Kuki miscreants who has been spearheading attacks on Meitei civilians sneaked into two houses of the meetei community at Kwakta Ward no 8. Taking advantage of the dark night and knowing that everyone much be asleep, they broke into the houses of two Meitei families and murdered three individuals.

On the intervening night of August 4 and August 5, armed Kuki miscreants sneaked into two houses of the Meetei community at Kwakta Ward no 8. They broke the door open and murdered three individuals belonging to Meetei community at around 3 am. Yumnam Pishak, Yumnam Premkumar and Yumnam Jiten were overpowered at gunpoint and murdered brutally with knifes and gunshots. Only five to seven meetei family resides at Kwakta ward no 8 where the incident took place.

On 4th June, villagers from Phayeng along with neighbouring villagers took the risk of fighting back a well armed Kuki militants who attacked and killed a meetei village volunteer, injuring others on 28th May .

It was an uneven fight as the Kuki militants were firing from a strategically well positioned higher elevation while the meetei village volunteers were exchanging fire from the foothills.

The gun battle lasted for 2 days. Two meetei villagers from Phayeng and two volunteers from Sagolband Nepra Menjor and Khundrakpam Mayai Leikai, Imphal West lost their lives in the gun fight. One among them was held captive and brutally murdered, his body was found mutilated. Many meetei volunteers also sustained bullet injuries.
