Software Data Cable (2013)

"Can't believe this app is now 11 years old now feel old already. I remember in grade 11 with my sh*tty Samsung Galaxy ACE phone and this application was on it and shared and received files and apps through this app till 2016 (used Xender and ShareIt as well at the same time). This was my first ever intro to file sharing apps back in the day. Just like ShareIt,I feel like this also deserves a mention as this app was the absolute OG."

The old Facebook layout was something and also back then when it was filled with youngsters and older people (now it's just older people who have taken over with most people being online) and was only used for connecting with people around the world before those chhapri meme pages started becoming popular in mid 2010s.

Oh man, what days of the internet. I remember downloading heck lot of Oasis, Pink Floyd, RHCP and even other English music/songs from this website. On my Nokia 5230 phone with Opera Mini installed. This website was my absolute go to for popular or semi popular songs from all genres. Too bad, it's now a memory of the past.

Sure we saw a massive resurgence of Ludo during lockdown where almost everyone was playing it. But man, these board games were simply the best. Business was my absolute favourite one.

Zee Studio (now &flix)

This channel had a lot of identity until it got fixed as Zee Studio. Started out as Zee Movies in 2000, then going Zee MGM after their partnership with MGM at that time till 2004. After MGM was taken by Sony, they again rebranded as Zee Movie Zone (ZMZ) and then in 2005, it became Zee Studio. Airing version Hollywood movies from almost every Hollywood studio (excluding Warner Bros, New Line Cinema)

iTV (Music Channel) (2000(?)-2004)

If you lived in Mumbai (I don't know about the other cities if they had this) and had cable TV, you may have stumbled upon this channel back in the day. This was a very mysterious channel and quite a television lost media as nothing is known about this much about who owns it and was it even legal and all, but oh boy whatever the scene was, this channel ruled. This channel played songs based on telephone requests and even no. was given where you could dial it to play the song you requested, although sceptical if the number was legit to begin with. The channel played Indian pop songs as well as international songs from various countries. Going from Aryans, Silk Route, Alisha Chinoy to even Backstreet Boys, Westlife, Spice Girls to even Amr Diab, Guitara etc. I pretty much remember this was on channel no. 40 on my old television. How did this channel came in or how it got disappeared is still unknown, but regardless I had my memories with this channel.

Old Forgotten BEST buses from 90s-2000s - Mumbai

Aside from the regular buses by BEST, there were other buses by them most notably the A/C buses (both the OG Leyland ones which were pretty few yet iconic and the heavily panned Kinglong buses which were infamous for breaking down a lot), Vestibule buses (which I once travelled in when I was 5) and the Starbus which mostly was seen in the southern suburbs. I have fond memories of the original A/C bus as we frequently use to take that bus whenever we were to go Powai side. Kinglong ones had comfy seats so yea that's one plus side.

Forgotten TV channels: HBO Defined and HBO Hits

These were premium ad-free channels from HBO launched in 2013 which aired Hollywood, Bollywood movies and HBO Original series (Game Of Thrones, Newsroom, True Blood, Broadwalk Empire) in both SD and HD formats.

The Playhouse from Playhouse Disney. The hosts used to host the Playhouse Disney block with in between segments like art, storytime and other stuff. There was an Indian version of it existed as well aired in 2006, unlike the original which aired in 1998. Just like Big Dave and Little Alex in the original, the block in the Indian were also hosted by three hosts (akin to Australian version) named Mona, Daman and Manoj. Mona and Daman hosted the art and other various story time segments like the library, bedroom, etc while Manoj hosted the animal kingdom segments and telling tales about various animals. The intro song was "Ek do teen chaar...hum seekhenge bar bar (something like that)" and ending song was like "goodbye alvida dosto ab ham chale..." when the block was about to close. Unlike the original UK and Australian version where few excerpts exists, there are absolutely no traces of the Indian version. Thoroughly making it completely lost.
