Today would’ve been Chester’s 46th birthday. We can only imagine the incredible music over the last few years that would’ve come from Linkin Park had you still been with us. We miss you every day. You were incredibly unique, and there will never be another one like you. We urge everyone to have their best day today and treat others with love in honor of Chester.

Realized today when thinking about the LPA, that this year marks 20 years since the conception of this website. While we didn’t officially launch till April 2002 (on Angelfire of all places!), the idea of LPA first took shape in late 2001 between myself and my friend Omar.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d be writing a thank you note about the site 20 years later. I was 15 when I started LPA & to be turning 35 & still running the site is incredible. In the years since 2001 I have seen LPA grow beyond my wildest dreams. I’ve seen LPA accomplish things I would’ve never thought possible & have found myself feeling proud of the fanbase over how strong we’ve been during one of the hardest periods in LP history. We all came together and got through it as a family, one day at a time.

While the future of LP is still uncertain, we stand ready for the next chapter and remain optimistic about where the band goes from here. All of you have impacted our lives in big ways, and we are super excited to hopefully one day see some of you again at an LP concert.

LPA couldn’t have celebrated 20 years without your support & be assured whenever LP / the band members discuss their next moves, we will be here to cover it just as we have the last two decades. We love you all! Thank you for everything so far. Here’s to another 20!

Three years ago, Linkin Park held a touching tribute show for Chester. Only months had gone by since his passing, and the show was the band's opportunity to share with fans not only a collective goodbye, but more importantly a collective celebration of Chester and who he was.

All of the North American LP Association staff members gathered at this show, which was remarkable as for some of us it was the first time we'd ever met in person and yet we'd known each other for a decade or more. It was bittersweet that this event of all things brought us together.

It's a reminder that some things are simply greater than us. That shared passion, love, interest, and reverence for music and musical artists are strong uniting forces. It was really beautiful, and we'll never forget it.

We miss you, Chester - and we remember each day to make you proud.
