Meet TrippyChickadee.Art!

Jess Munro-Hansen is a multi-medium artist from Edmonds, Washington. She publishes her wide range of works - from digital art to canvas paintings, from album covers to graphic T-Shirts - as Trippy Chickadee Art.

Drawing inspiration from Hayao Miyazaki and Junji Ito, adult animation, horror, nature, and animals - her art showcases a sort of duality that dances between vibrant cheerfulness and darker, edgier styles.

Immersed in art since childhood, SJ played the violin and performed in school plays.

Prompted by the 2020 pandemic, she reignited her passion for exploration and self-expression through art. Since 2021, SJ has thrived; exploring watercolor, acrylic, gouache, and digital art.

Notably, SJ has contributed to several Just Noise Music projects; She painted all of the artwork for Balsam Grove's 2024 LP, You're Safe Here. She has designed the official band logo and merchandise for Lonesome Territory, as well as all of the artwork for Larry Lee Hansen's (Larry The Lion) 'Lion Mode' series of releases. She also co-wrote the script of Lonesome Territory's upcoming music video for their song "Menace", and assisted with photography during the "Forgotten Future" music video shoot.

When she's not creating her latest masterpiece, SJ enjoys spending her time reading manga, going on adventures with her dog Jazz, playing video games and baking sweet treats.

In 2024, SJ emerges as an official visual artist for JNM, poised to carve her path in the artistic realm as Trippy Chickadee Art.

Hey friends!
We are extremely grateful to everyone who came out to our first couple shows and showed some love, bought some merch, and rocked out with us! Such a fantastic start for our new band, and we want to keep the good vibes rolling! 🥳🎵🎸

We are very pleased to announce that we will performing at in Edmonds, WA on Sunday, September 22nd! This is a remarkable local record store that just opened in January of this year, and they are incredibly passionate about supporting local musicians, just like us!

This set will be a stripped down acoustic performance of our three song EP, perhaps with a little something extra as well. We will also be signing copies of our CD, which is sold right in the store. We will be performing and hanging out from 3 to 4pm. If you miss out on the fun, no worries. You can still pick up a copy of our CD at Musicology Co. any time!

We can't wait to hang out with you at Musicology Co. on Sunday, Sept. 22nd! Love you all ❤️🤘
