The Sparks Police Department will be joining forces with participating law enforcement agencies in Nevada for a Joining Forces Impaired Driver Campaign. The campaign will take place from June 5, 2025, through June 21, 2025. On 5-21-2025, Officers responded to a Sparks residence for a reported Domestic disturbance in which the suspect kicked in the front door. It was learned the suspect was 43-year-old Sparks resident Michael Meadows. As an officer was responding to the area, they located Meadows and attempted to stop him. Meadows fled from officers at a high rate of speed. Due to the danger posed to the community, officers discontinued the pursuit....

On 05/16/2025, at 8:05 p.m., Sparks Police Officers responded to the 800 block of Kiley Parkway for a report of a suspicious circumstance regarding an alleged child luring attempt. The investigation yielded that the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Caleb Tau-Tolliver, attempted to lure an 8-year-old boy into his vehicle with the promise of giving him money to purchase snacks. The child’s mother interjected in the conversation upon locating her son at the stranger's vehicle and safely removed her child from the situation....

On 5-14-2025 at 1836 hours, Officers were dispatched to Scheels Sporting Goods located at 1200 Scheels Drive for the report of a theft in progress. Scheels advised the female suspect ignored loss prevention officers when confronted and began to leave the store.
