We are proud to be part of the SAIGU Campaign Commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the LA Riots hosted by FACE (facela.org). We invite you to join us at this free preview screening of “Rise On Up: LA Riots,” A SAIGU Retrospective, and discussion panel. It's a work-in-progress documentary that revisits the LA Riots by sharing Korean American and other stories to better understand what happened to avoid such chaos in the future.

As part of the screening, several subjects from the film will share their perspectives on the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of LA Riots. The speakers will include:
David H. Kim, Rise on Up, Director
Grace Ryu, Rise on Up, Producer
Jay Davis, LAUSD art teacher and multidisciplinary artist
Billy Yoon, LAUSD art teacher and 3rd generation Crenshaw native
Tim Goldman, videographer of the riots flashpoint at Florence and Normandie
Hyepin Im, FACE President & CEO
